Scott Drake Trap Door With Speaker Pods Fastback 1967-1970 is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok I bought this so I would not have to cut my good metal trap door on my 68 Mustang. I thought it would be a simple install but found out it takes some work and modifications. First the holes for the trim which goes above the door for 67-68 did not exist. I had to measure and drill them out. Found out the new door is NOT exactly the same as the metal door. It does not have the correct curve at the top and the trim on the ends fit just fine but I have a .25 to .5 gap in the middle. Also the door is not the same height as the original. Lucky the upper trim takes up the gap. One speaker pod was centered just right but the other side was not. I had to get the heat gun out and reform this side to get the speaker to fit correctly. Also not sure about the thickness of it. Not sure the door will hold up when in the up right position. I would have thought metal backing plates would have been used for the hinge holes. Also you have to drill out the hinge holes. Well at least I won't have to cut up my good door.
