Make your 1968-1973 coupe or 1965-1973 fastback Mustang safer with a pair of all new 3-point retractable front seat belts featuring chrome push button buckles! Similar to the seat belts found in most modern cars of today, these new harnesses will give you added protection by adding a belt that comes down across your torso from over your shoulder and into the buckle where the lap belt connects. This pair includes front seat belts and all necessary hardware for the driver side and passenger side front seats.

Features:
- Sold as a Pair
- Available in Most Early Model Style Colors
- Modern 3-Point Harness Design
- Retractable Belt Holders with a Quick-Lock Safety System
- Chrome Push Button Buckles
- Plastic Protective Belt Holder Sleeves
- 131" Overall Belt Length
- Assembled in the USA
- Includes All Necessary Mounting Hardware and Instructions

These front seat belts come with handsome chrome push button buckles and retractable belt holders to keep the shoulder belt out of your seat when entering and exiting the car. The retractable belt holders also have a modern quick-lock safety system that will lock the seat belt in position when the belt is pulled too quickly, like in an accident. The female belt buckle portion of each seat belt is equipped with a plastic belt holder sleeve to protect the center console.

This pair of 3-point retractable front seat belts is only intended for use in 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 coupe Mustangs and 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 fastback Mustangs.

Please Note: The available belt colors are not factory correct. They are intended to be a close match to your Mustang's interior.

Originally, classic Mustangs came equipped with lap belt style seat belts. While these seat belts offer some protection in a collision, after 40 or more years on the road, they might not be in the best of shape. CJ Pony Parts offers dozens of replacement Mustang seat belts, so you can add some stylish new lap belt style Mustang seat belts or upgrade to a new 3-point style seat belt, similar to what is in all new automobiles.

Seat Belt Retractable 3-Point With Chrome Push Button Front Pair Coupe 1968-1973/Fastback 1965-1973 is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good quality These belts are good quality, but be prepared to purchase new nuts for your install. The kit comes with 8 fine thread bolts and 2 fine thread nuts. The rest of the nuts are coarse thread and the only piece that has coarse threads are the bolts for installation on a convertible car. Instructions are NOT included and Internet instructions are not that good. Please review the on line instructions before purchase to make sure they will work for you. I wound up using the factory mounts in the floor to mount the retractor and buckle. Good quality belts and material, but if you are not mechanically inclined make sure you have someone who is to help you install these belts.

I have a 72 fastback with a seat belt reminder light, are these wired for that application?

Asked by: bkhood2
No, these are just a generic replacement belt set, they are not original for a 1972.

I would like to order these 3 point front seat belts for my 1965 Fastback. Do you have these in burgundy colour? I understand all the fittings are included. How much is the shipping to the UK? I recently ordered from you. Do you keep my details?

Asked by: Jonno1006
All colors are listed in the drop down. We don't have a specific listing for burgundy, but we do have a maroon, but a 1965 red interior would need red.

My 1968 model, Mustang coupe was built in December 1967. I understand it was not until February, 1968 that shoulder belts were an option. For the various aftermarket shoulder belt kits do I use the 1965-1967 kit or the 1968-1973 kit?

Asked by: Unclear
This is the kit you'll want.

How is the top seat belt mounted and which hole is used, my engineer says I need a 2 inch plate with the nut mounted to it but there is no room for this. Is there a special nut for this

You can follow either the manufacturer or customer installation instructions, which are linked from the product page. Both will walk you through the process and explain what you need to do to mount the top portion.
