Make your 1968-1973 coupe or 1965-1973 fastback Mustang safer with a pair of all new 3-point retractable front seat belts featuring chrome push button buckles! Similar to the seat belts found in most modern cars of today, these new harnesses will give you added protection by adding a belt that comes down across your torso from over your shoulder and into the buckle where the lap belt connects. This pair includes front seat belts and all necessary hardware for the driver side and passenger side front seats.

Features:
- Sold as a Pair
- Available in Most Early Model Style Colors
- Modern 3-Point Harness Design
- Retractable Belt Holders with a Quick-Lock Safety System
- Chrome Push Button Buckles
- Plastic Protective Belt Holder Sleeves
- 131" Overall Belt Length
- Assembled in the USA
- Includes All Necessary Mounting Hardware and Instructions

These front seat belts come with handsome chrome push button buckles and retractable belt holders to keep the shoulder belt out of your seat when entering and exiting the car. The retractable belt holders also have a modern quick-lock safety system that will lock the seat belt in position when the belt is pulled too quickly, like in an accident. The female belt buckle portion of each seat belt is equipped with a plastic belt holder sleeve to protect the center console.

This pair of 3-point retractable front seat belts is only intended for use in 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 coupe Mustangs and 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 fastback Mustangs.

Please Note: The available belt colors are not factory correct. They are intended to be a close match to your Mustang's interior.

Originally, classic Mustangs came equipped with lap belt style seat belts. While these seat belts offer some protection in a collision, after 40 or more years on the road, they might not be in the best of shape. CJ Pony Parts offers dozens of replacement Mustang seat belts, so you can add some stylish new lap belt style Mustang seat belts or upgrade to a new 3-point style seat belt, similar to what is in all new automobiles.

Hey, what about the upper bracket will not belt very high over the shoulder, on the other I have seen and you have an extension in the upper bracket so it will be a little lower.

Asked by: Lemob
On my Mustang 1970 ht so it sits firmly in the top hole but a small piece belt that is located under the rear window as the belt goes through to keep it down a little more. Talked with another that is mounted only into the upper hole and it cut into his neck when the bracket was sitting so far up

Hi, can you please confirm whether the 131" overall belt length is only the main part of the belt (not including the short latch strap) and is measured from the retractor mechanism to the end of the belt when fully extended? Thanks Mike

Asked by: mike351c
The 131-inches is the full length of the belt, not including the short portion that you put the buckle into.

Will these belts work in a 73 Cougar?

Asked by: oldylr
Possibly, but if the interiors are different, you could run into some problems if the mounting points aren't in the same spots. We haven't tested them in Cougars, so it's really hard to say for sure.
