Seat Track Extender Kit 2005-2014

Product Description

Seat Track Extender Kit for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Mustangs.

You want to enjoy your Mustang but you're a taller person and the Pony's leg room just doesn't quite cut it. We have the fix for you with this Seat Track Extender Kit that fits all 2005-2014 Mustangs. This kit adds up to three extra inches of leg room in front of your seat so you can get in, get out and drive comfortably. The seat track extenders mount between the seat track and the floor. In the process of moving your seat rearward, it also raises the seat about 3/4". The kit may be used for either the driver side seat or passenger side seat but the kit only modifies one seat.

Kit Includes:
- Two seat track extension bars
- Four 5/16"-24 x 1 grade 8 bolts
- Four 3/8" lock washers
- Two 10mm nuts
- Two 10mm lock washers

Being a taller person doesn't mean you can't enjoy all the Mustang has to offer. Our seat track extension kit will get you in your Mustang and out on the road while not feeling like your cramped up in a small box.

Kit does one seat.

Please Note: When seat tracks are fully extended, the rear seat in your Mustang is not usable.

These things are garbage. Went to install in my 07 GT. After much cursing and "massaging" (read: beating with a mallet) FINALLY got the holes to line up and started tightening down...only to discover that the supplied bolts are 1/4" too long. Didn't realize it until it was too late. SNAP. So, are you supposed to stack 3 lock washers a side to make the bolts tighten down? Stupid design. Unfortunately, I had already ground off the stock brackets, so I was left with a rocking chair for a driver's seat for a MONTH while waiting for a replacement set.

Finally got the replacement set. On THIS set the holes somehow weren't tapped to the correct size. Something like a non-existent 7.5 mm instead of the supplied 5/16. So I had to get the holes re-tapped.

If you HAVE to have a seat track extender, make your own (you probably couldn't do a worse job), If that's not possible, test-fit EVERYTHING before you try to install these and grind off your stock brackets. Be ready for lots of swearing and possibly some required machine work. Oh, and throw the included hardware in the trash and go buy some bolts that actually fit.

I've put a lot of parts on my car over the years, and this is easily the most disappointing thing I've ever purchased for my car. Between a poor fit, an inexcusable mistake with included hardware, and now holes that weren't even the right size, a few simple changes could make these a decent (instead of utterly disappointing) product.

Quality of the steel is good, machining of the front mounting holes not so good. I had to use a heavy pry bar against the tunnel to get the inboard hole to line up. After it was all done, I went through the range of motion and found that the supplied hex-head bolts for the front mounts interfered with the front 1/2 of travel. You can't move it forward for a shorter person to use the car. Hmmm... Take it all back apart, go to the hardware store and get some 5/16" stainless button-head bolts, put back together for the second time and all is fine. The kit should come with these.
