Product Description

Shift Knob 12mm-1.75 Jam Nut for all 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 Mustangs with a Manual Transmission.

If you have made the wise decision to upgrade your Mustang with a new CJ Shift Knob, a jam nut will be required for proper installation onto the shift handle. Without a jam nut, it is almost impossible for the new shift knob to naturally tighten on the handle and to be properly aligned at the same time.

Product Details:
- 12mm x 1.75 Thread Pattern
- Correct for 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 Mustangs

*CJ Shift Knobs do not include a jam nut.

Please Note: Most late model original style shift knobs did not require a jam nut, therefore this jam nut will most likely need to be acquired for your new CJ Shift Knob.

Shifting is one of the most common things you do when you're driving your manual transmission Mustang. It's possible that, over time, the shift knob in your Mustang can start to look worn out. Or, if you're restyling your Mustang's interior, the factory knob might not match your design scheme. In both situations, CJ Pony Parts can help with one of the CJ Shift Knob options we offer.

Order a 12mm-1.75 Shift Knob Jam Nut for your 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 or 2004 Mustang with a Manual Transmission from CJ Pony Parts today!

Shift Knob Jam Nut 12mm-1.75 1983-2004 is rated 3.6666666666666665 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor fit for ball knobs. When I ordered my ball shift knob, it was suggested that I purchase this nut to keep from cracking the ball by screwing it down to tightly. Unfortunately, the sharp edges on the nut kept catching my fingers when shifting. I ended up mounting the knob without it and was careful not to over-tighten it so it wouldn't crack. If the jam nut was perfectly round it might still be a good idea. I may just round it off myself if it seems necessary to use it in the future. For now, the knob works fine without it. Note: the jam nut product was perfectly threaded and does what it's supposed to. It's not a defective item by any means.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap price, amazing shipping! I bought this item a few weeks ago, I'm parts stocking for my 2002 gt until spring but I think this item came within a day. Fastest shipping I've ever had and that's something we need! A must have for shift knobs.
