Product Description

SilverHorse Racing Push Button Engine Start Kit for 2005-2009 Mustangs.

Add some push-to-start excitement to the center console of your pride and joy with SilverHorse Racing's Illuminated Push Button Start Kit! Choose from a blue, green or red illuminated button with a beautiful chrome-plated ABS surrounding bezel that cleanly finishes this functional yet attractive upgrade.

Multiple wiring options allow the installer to set up for constant illumination whenever the key is in the ignition, or to function in conjunction with the emergency brake, allowing for the light to turn off once the car is started and the brake released, improving night-driving visibility. Wiring can further be optioned to allow the car to start from button only, or from either the key or button. All of this, and the wiring is still only three simple connections to make, with included quick connectors.

Each kit is assembled by the talented technicians at SilverHorse Racing and tested for proper switch operation and illumination before being packaged for shipment. All wiring meets Ford's stringent quality specifications. Full instructions are included. Installation does require removal of the stock power outlet from the center dash (with the power outlet in the center console pocket still functional).

Made in USA from domestic and imported components.

*Bezel can be painted if desired.

Silverhorse Racing Push Button Engine Start Kit 2005-2009 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adds to the cool factor! I bought this several months ago from their shop since they are not far away. It was very easy to install with clear instructions. I wired mine so once the key is turned on the start button stays lit. You can also wire it so it will only come on with your lights. It stands out at night, but isn't so bright that it is a distraction. It seems to be the first thing people see when they get in!

Product Questions

Your lighted starter button pictures shows 3 color options, red, green, and blue:  When I try to put it on my wish list and must chose a color, green is not available. Is there a glitch in the list color choice input, or is green no longer available?

Asked by: mastv329
At this time green is no longer an option.

Does your Remote start system require the key to be in the ignition for operations? I have a Manual transmission 2007 Mustang GT. I am aware that I will still have to deal with the clutch and brake safety switches, but am wanting to eliminate the key.

Asked by: Joenavy70
Yes, the Silverhorse system does require the key - it's less a remote start and more of a push button start.

Asked by: FRANK LUNDBORG

In the description, it says that you can make the car start using either the key and the button, or just the button. How would the installation be different to make it start with the button only?
