SilverHorse Racing Push Button Engine Start Kit for 2010-2012 Mustangs.
Add some push-to-start excitement to the center console of your pride and joy with SilverHorse Racing's Tru-Billet Illuminated Push Button Start Kit. Designed with unique customizable options in mind, SilverHorse's illuminated start button is available in blue, green or red illumination. The beautiful Tru-Billet replacement door is available in brushed satin anodized, gloss black anodized or triple-chrome plated finishes with one of SilverHorse's two engraving options, including 'GT' and 'SilverHorse Racing', or for a smooth appearance, non-engraved. On satin and black anodized pieces, engraving is done after finishing to give a nice contrast to the finish.
Multiple wiring options allow the installer to set up for constant illumination whenever the key is in the ignition, or to function in conjunction with the emergency brake, allowing for the light to turn off once the car is started and the brake released, improving night-driving visibility. Wiring can further be optioned to allow the car to start from button only, or from either the key or button. All of this, and the wiring is still only three simple connections to make, with included quick connectors.
Each kit is assembled by the talented technicians at SilverHorse Racing and tested for proper switch operation and illumination before being packaged for shipment. All wiring meets Ford's stringent quality specifications. Full instructions are included. Installation does require removal of the stock power outlet from the center dash (with the power outlet in the center console pocket still functional).
Made in USA from domestic and imported components.

I get a lot of compliments on how it looks. You do still have to put the key in, but that's ok, it's still a great mod that works like a charm, every time!
You still need to put the key in the ignition no matter what. The first reason is you still need to unlock the steering wheel because Mustang's have a "Steering Lock". The second reason you still need the key in ignition is because the key is imbedded with a chip. So even if you use the configuration for "Push button Start" the car will not if the key is not inserted and you won't be able to steer anyway. This item is cosmetic only.
