SilverHorse Racing Shift Boot Retainer Pawn Style Billet 2005-2014

Product Description

Silverhorse Racing Billet Pawn Style Shift Boot Retainer for 2005-2014 Mustangs.

Use this Billet Aluminum Shift Boot Retainer from SilverHorse Racing to properly tighten your aftermarket shift knob on the shift lever. This Pawn Style retainer will act as a jam nut, allowing for proper installation of aftermarket shift knob. If you have installed an aftermarket shift knob or shift boot, your shift ball may not be aligned straight when the knob is tightened on the shift lever. This will function as a jam nut while eliminating the gap between your shift knob and shift boot. Not to mention, it will look great while serving a purpose!

Features and Benefits:
- Allows proper installation of aftermarket shift knob
- Eliminates gap between shift knob and boot
- Available in Black or Silver Anodized and Chrome
- Thread size is 12mm x 1.25
- Billet Aluminum Construction
- Sold Individually

*Does NOT fit 2007-2014 GT500s.

Beautiful but flawed
I received the chrome version retainer & was immediately impressed with the quality finish, however the opening was drilled off center. It wouldn't screw on straight. CJs was very helpful standing behind their product & sent me another (correctly machined) part. This new part, as beautiful as it was, still did not fit correctly. I couldn't screw the retainer all the way down leaving a large gap between the boot & retainer. The end result looked unfinished or like an incorrect part was used. Now, in Silverhorse racing's defense it could be that my shifter was not threaded far enough down or it could be that the retainer itself was threaded too far down dis-allowing the retainer to fully seat as far as it should. Either way, I returned this part also & am using the stock shift handle until I find what I want. Buyer beware.
