Product Questions

Is there a smaller starter that works better in a 67 Mustang with an inline 6 200 engine, I am adding a dual header and in something I read about, it said it was a tight squeeze to have the original starter in with that header.

Asked by: Susie 67
Sorry, we do not offer a smaller starter for your application.

Why is this a starter for manual transmission, and which one do I need for a 68 6 cil. automatic transmission? http://www.cjponyparts.com/starter-6-cyl-200-manual-transmission-1965-1970/p/STR3135/

Asked by: Hen3
The starters are a different size due to the bell housing and other surrounding components. Here is the starter that would work for your vehicle: http://www.cjponyparts.com/starter-67-70-390-428-all-and-65-70-6-cyl-automatic-transmisison-1965-1970/p/STR3118/

I have a 1965 Mustang Convertible without a starter. I do not know whether the engine is the original. I have found some numbers on the block that might be a clue. They are "806401", "050ZE" and "1 82". Can you help me?

Asked by: Dork
Unfortunately, those numbers don't really correspond to anything (at least on a basic search).
