This Total Control Products Front Coil Spring Suspension System is comprised of control arms, strut rods, SensiSet Shocks, springs, a 1” drop shaft and all the necessary mounting components. This kit will finish off the front suspension of your 1967 Mustang and kick it up to the next level of performance. This kit comes with a 1” drop pivot shaft that will eliminate the need to drill new holes in the shock tower to obtain the advantages of higher camber gains.

This Front Coil Spring Suspension System from Total Control Products is designed to keep the tire contact patch flat on the road surface and control wheel movement without creating a harsh ride. This system will reduce body roll and pitch and help maintain precise control of the spindle position and the suspension travel arc. The high quality SensiSet Shocks are a fixed factory-valved shock designed for street performance and the occasional autocross event. The SensiSet shock was designed by Total Controls Products sister company, VariShock. Instead of settling with “off-the-shelf” shocks, these shocks were custom made to Total Controls exact specifications for install height, travel, valving range and mounting configuration. American made, VariShocks are constructed from premium components which means each shock performs identically, unlike other cheaper shocks.
The included Upper Control Arms are constructed from 1" x .156" wall steel tubing and feature double adjustment couplers with an adjustment range of 1". The caster can be adjusted within 6 degrees and camber can be adjusted within 5-1/2 degree. Alloy-steel rod ends contain low friction, polymer bearing races which help eliminate deflection and the increasing resistance found with rubber and polyurethane bushings. The 1" dropped aluminum pivot shaft eliminates the need to drill the shock tower to take advantage of higher camber gain. The included grade 8 hardware secures the pivot shaft and the rod ends. A four bolt ball joint has a relocated zerk fitting for easier access and shim sets are provided for alignment purposes.
TrueCenter Lower Control Arms improve suspension geometry by precisely controlling the ball joint travel arc. The inner bushing on the control arm features a spherical bearing with high strength polymer races which create a deflection free, low friction pivot point. This bearing setup can safely handle caster settings beyond the ability of rubber or polyurethane bushings. A threaded retaining ring and locking set screw maintain bearing preload. The control arm is constructed from 1-1/8" x .156" wall steel tubing which is connected to the 1-1/4" shank socket housing by an overlapping robotic spray-arc welded joint. Ball joint plates and mid-plates are made from 1/4" steel which eliminate deflection at the spindle and OEM positioned sway bar attachment points.
TrueCenter Strut Rods maintain correct suspension geometry without the increased resistance found with rubber and polyurethane bushings. Caster adjustment can be changed 3 to 4 degrees depending on the specific application. Also, up to 12 degrees of misalignment is available in any direction which allows the strut rod to rotate beyond the limits of a standard rod end. A low friction pivot center with zero deflection is achieved with the use of high strength, non-compressible polymer bearing races. The strut rod is constructed from 1" x .156" wall steel tubing with a large crimped end that is robotic spray-arc welded to a 5/16" steel control arm adapter plate with an integrated steering stop.
The Performance Series Springs offer increased performance with linear spring rates and predictable handling characteristics. Linear spring rates are stiffer than progressive rate springs and provide a high performance feel. Each spring sits on a spring perch that is lower than the factory spring perch and have rubber pivot bushings made from all new materials for a great overall performance upgrade and ride quality in your 1967 Mustang.
