The g-Machine System Suspension Kit includes g-Machine tubular A-arms that are designed for extreme performance handling. The upper A-arms are fabricated with mandrel-bent steel tubing with a 1 x.156” wall and a 7/8 x .156” cross brace section. g-Machine lower A-arms are created with a huge 1-1/4 x .156” wall and 1 x .156” triangulated cross braces, making them lightweight and still one of the strongest, best performing lower control arms on the market. The heavy-duty balljoints have an easy screw-in design, making replacement of a worn out balljoint simple. To make installation and removal of the balljoints even simpler, a zinc plated balljoint wrench is supplied.
High-strength sculpted ductile iron cast spindles with a black powder coated finish provide excellent strength for reliable performance. With a 2” drop in ride height, these spindles give your Mustang a lower center of gravity and quicker camber curve that will increase your handling capabilities on curvy backroads or at the track. To eliminate stress on the spindle assembly, the curvature of the surfaces for the spindles integrated steering arm, caliper mount, and spindle body have been created with state-of-the-art finite element analysis software to ensure the spindle can handle the stress from more rigorous driving conditions.
The power rack and pinion with this kit is constructed from a steel body with a black powder coat finish, designed to fit left hand drive 1965-1970 Mustangs with power steering. This power rack consists of the steel rack body, protective dust boots on either side, rotatable low-profile banjo fittings, and steel hard lines that run tightly against the rack body for a compact design. Internal gearing of the rack is supported by low-friction polymer bushings and roller bearings that gives gear engagement a smoother feel increasing the longevity of the rack.
To replace your stock tie-rods, this suspension kit upgrades them to adjustable bumpsteer tie-rods. These bumpsteer tie-rods allow finer adjustment of the suspension by letting you correct unwanted toe-in during the travel of the suspension. Diminishing and sometimes removing the bumpsteer effect for a more enjoyable drive.
High quality VariShock QuickSet 2 Shocks included in the kit have double-adjustable knobs with 16 settings for bump and rebound individually. This allows you to fine tune your suspension with a total of 256 unique combinations possible for your desired handling performance. Both knobs have directional arrows that have been laser-etched into the adjustment knob with plus/minus symbols that show you which direction will give you the desired adjustment. Additional arrows on the shock base display which knob controls the setting for bump, and which one controls the setting for rebound. All adjustments can be made within seconds, without removing or unbolting the shock. Each QuickSet 2 shock goes through extensive dyno and road testing to offer optimum performance. American made, VariShocks are constructed from premium components where each shock performs identically throughout the entire range of travel.
Designed to pair with the VariShock QuickSet 2 shocks are a pair of VariSprings that are rated for your big block Ford engine. When choosing a suspension setup, you want to make sure that you are choosing one that can handle the extra weight from the big block motor. These springs have been produced from a new high-tensile wire that is far superior to other springs. These new springs can fully compress without the coil taking damage which could greatly affect the ride height and handling of your Mustang. Being more flexible than normal springs, these VariSprings allow for more travel of the shock without going solid, giving you better overall traction and control.
