This kit is designed to fit Mustangs that have Total Control Products’ Front Frame Clip installed for extreme front end customization.

The control arms provided in this Value System Suspension Kit are fabricated from mandrel-bent steel tubing, with the upper control arms having a 7/8 x .156” wall and the lower control arms having a 1 x .156” wall. This makes the control arms more lightweight, but still durable enough for more spirited driving. The heavy-duty balljoints are designed to be easily replaceable by simply screwing them into place, making replacement of a worn out balljoint simple. To make installation and removal of the balljoints even simpler, a zinc plated balljoint wrench is provided with this kit.

High-strength sculpted ductile iron cast spindles that are more impact and fatigue resistant, give you excellent strength for reliable performance. With a 2” drop in ride height, these spindles give your Mustang a lower center of gravity and quicker camber curve which improve your handling on curvy backroads or at the track. To eliminate strain on the spindle assembly, the curvature of the spindles integrated steering arm, caliper mount, and spindle body have been designed with state-of-the-art finite element analysis software to ensure the spindle can handle more performance oriented driving conditions.

The manual rack and pinion with this kit is assembled from billet aluminum with a satin finish, designed to fit left hand drive 1965-1970 Mustangs without power steering. It consists of three pieces, a billet aluminum rack body, sculpted aluminum gear box, and stainless steel center tube that thread together at O-ring sealed joints to form a sturdy, lightweight assembly. The internal gearing of the rack is supported by low-friction polymer bushings and roller bearings that gives gear engagement a smoother feel increasing the life of the rack. OEM quality tie-rods with a fixed-height pivot position are included with the kit, connecting the manual rack with the sculpted spindles.

High quality SensiSet Shocks included in the kit are a fixed factory-valved shock that have gone through extensive dyno and road testing to offer optimum street performance and handle the occasional autocross event. The SensiSet shock was designed by Total Controls Products sister company, VariShock. These shocks were custom made to Total Controls exact specifications for install height, travel, valving range and mounting configuration. American made, VariShocks are constructed from premium components where each shock performs identically throughout the entire range of travel.

Designed to pair with the VariShock SensiSet shocks are a pair of springs that are rated for big block Ford engines. When choosing a suspension setup, you want to make sure that you are choosing one that can handle the extra weight from the big block motor. These springs have been produced from a new high-tensile wire that is far more superior and durable to other springs. These new springs are able to fully compress without damaging the coil which would greatly affect the ride height and handling of your Mustang. Being more flexible than normal springs, these VariSprings allow for more travel of the shock without going solid, giving you better handling and control of your classic Mustang.
