Product Questions

The wipers on my 65 Mustang work, but when I turn them off they just stop and do not return to the normal flat position. What would cause this and how do I fix it?

Asked by: 65 Stangman
There may be a problem with the motor or wiring. You would have to consult a service manual for diagnosis.

It sounds like you have a one speed wiper motor, here is the link to the switch, http://www.cjponyparts.com/1-speed-wiper-switch-w-washer-1965-1966/p/WWS2/

How does this motor wire in? My old motor had a three point plug.

Asked by: Coug74
The motor pictured is a generic picture, the motor has 3 male spade connectors protruding from the motor with the middle one being offset which is what you would need to plug tour existing harness connector to.

I have been searching for a windshield wiper motor for a 1965 Mustang. I can't locate one that matches the mounting bracket in the car. I must have something wrong, can you help? I'm helping with the restoration job for a friend.

Asked by: mikeb3865
This is the one you need - there aren't any other wiper motor options for 1965s.

What other supplies will I need to replace a windshield washer pump for a 1965 Mustang?

Asked by: wyo1988
It's a direct replacement. You should be able to reuse the hardware from your old one for installation.

What's the easiest way to get to the wiper motor for removal? 1965 Mustang.

Asked by: teddy123
It's underneath the dash, to the left of the radio. It might be easiest to pop out the driver's seat so you can lay on your back to look underneath and remove it.
