2002 Supercharger Kits
When to Choose a 2002 Mustang SuperchargerNow that you know you have a solution for getting the most power and speed possible out of your 2002 Mustang’s engine, you’re probably wondering what the differences are between superchargers and nitrous oxide kits. The answer is a little technical, but we’ll help you decide in easy steps which product is right for you and your driving needs. Let’s take a look at them now.
A 2002 Mustang supercharger functions by grabbing a bunch of really compressed air and stuffing it right inside your vehicle’s engine. At this stage, the mixture of this compressed air and fuel will cause a very large explosion in the engine cylinders, generating a significant amount of power. A supercharger is generally a more reliable product and is easier to install than a nitrous oxide kit. However, it won’t generate nearly as much power as the latter.
When to Choose a 2002 Mustang Nitrous Oxide KitOn the other hand, we have the infamous nitrous oxide kit. Ok, it’s not necessarily “infamous,” but without proper guidance and caution, these types of products can cause some major issues.
Nitrous oxide kits take a different approach than superchargers when it comes to boosting engine performance. They work by injecting liquid nitrous oxide into the engine, decreasing the charge temperature in the cylinders. This process, in turn, allows more air and fuel to enter the cylinders, causing large combustion reactions. Please be careful if you’re considering this product — it might be a good idea to get in touch with us prior to purchasing.
