Accelerator Rod Grommet 1967-1968

Product Description

Accelerator Rod Grommet for all 1967-1968 Mustangs.

If you're replacing or repairing the accelerator on your classic 1967-1968 Mustang or if water is leaking into your Mustang where your accelerator rod enters the firewall, then it's time for a new grommet! Thankfully, CJ Pony Parts carries this Accelerator Rod Grommet!

This Accelerator Rod Grommet is a direct fit replacement that forms a seal around your Mustang's accelerator rod where it goes into the firewall. This part might be small, but it's important since it will help keep water from leaking into your Pony through the firewall. This grommet is sold individually, so you'll get one with your order.

Getting your Mustang to move all starts with the throttle and accelerator pedal. What happens if any of those parts break? You can replace them with Mustang throttle parts and accelerator pedals from CJ Pony Parts. With plenty of different parts available, you can find whatever you need to get your Mustang moving again!

Order an Accelerator Rod Grommet for your 1967-1968 Mustang from CJ Pony Parts today!

Accelerator Rod Grommet 1967-1968 is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a piece of junk This piece preforms worse that my original one that had a tear in it. The center hole, for the rod does not grip the rod tight. Therefore, when you apply the accelerator it enlarges the hole to twice its diameter letting fumes and noise into the vehicle. I know it’s cheap but, it doesn’t do the job. I would rather pay twice as much for the part and have it be functional.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worth it Does fit quite perfect. Fits grommet hole but rod is not exactly where hole is so it stretches a little and is not perfectly sealing around rod. Worth the cost. My old one was disentigrated. I don't really think these cars were ever built with the kind of precision needed to ensure a part like this could fit perfectly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not fit as well as original The grommet fits in the firewall, but does not hug the accelerator bar leaving a gap. The gap is small, but engine compartment air still enters the car.
