ACP Power Steering Hose Insulator for 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 Mustangs.

If you're upgrading to power steering in your 1967-1970 Mustang, or if you're replacing some old power steering parts that need some TLC, then chances are you're also looking for a way to keep your power steering hoses away from your exhaust manifold. Fortunately, CJ Pony Parts has a great solution: This Power Steering Hose Insulator!

This Power Steering Hose Insulator is made out of durable molded rubber that's specially blended to help it resist hardening and cracking. The hose mounting insulator bracket holds the two power steering hoses from the pump rearward and down to the ram. This insulator will help keep those power steering hoses as far away as possible from your Mustang's exhaust manifold.

Please Note: The hose mounting insulator bracket is not included and must be purchased separately.

Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not an exact fit but I made it work I last replaced this bushing on my '67 coupe about 20 years ago and the one I bought thent didn't fit very well either. I guess hoses of that time were smaller than what they are today. My pressure hose is a larger diameter than the return hose so I had to do some creative work with a drywall knife, widening the pre-cut split at the top of the bushing and removing about 1/8" of material from the bottom. The bracket is in a very difficult place to access so I unbolted the entire bracket from its resting place and slid it rearward so I could see what I was doing. I loosely assembled the bracket and slid it back into position, tightened everything up and we're good to go.
