The smooth curves and increased diameter of this exhaust system help remove restriction and keep exhaust gas flowing smoothly for increased horsepower, torque and throttle response. This exhaust system also comes complete with an 18" length chambered muffler, OE style bayonet hangers, band clamps and all hardware necessary for a hassle-free installation.

This system incorporates a large 18" length 2-layer aluminized steel chambered muffler for an aggressive sound while eliminating exhaust drone. The muffler is located prior to the rear axle for increased climbing angles. This exhaust system is finished off with a hi-tuck tip which is developed to give your Jeep extra clearance during extreme angle climbs or descents. The driver-side exit location is perfect for adding onboard air compressor system to the underside of your JK.

The factory exhaust in the JK wrangler is big, ugly and quiet. That is just not okay with us. So today we're gonna help our jeep breath better and give it some extra ground clearance by installing this AFV Scorpion, Cat-Back exhaust. This AFV Cat-Bag exhaust is made of two and a half inch mandrel aluminized tubing with a high flow muffler and a high tuck turn tail pipe for better ground clearance and a nice sound. It comes with everything you need for installation. So, today we're gonna install it on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler. Tools you'll need for this installation, a lift or jack and jack stands, half inch ratchet, 15 millimeter socket, 16 millimeter socket, 18 millimeter socket, and you might need an exhaust hanger removal tool.

This cat-back exhaust is pretty simple to install. We have to start off by removing the factory system, which is pretty easy. Just remove this clamp right here on the muffler. Then remove the muffler from the two hangers. Loosen the clamp with a 15 millimeter socket. Remove the driver side hanger from the muffler. Then remove the rubber hanger from the rubber frame mount. With both hangers removed, just twist the muffler, and pull it off. Come up to the front of the exhaust now where the front pipe meets the white pipe and remove the clamp. Now if you have some miles on your jeep, this clamp might be pretty hard to remove. So you might want to use some penetrating lubricant.

Remove the rubber hanger from the front pipe. Then there's one more hanger to remove. Then remove this rubber hanger near the axle. Lower the skid plate by removing the rear two bolts and then loosening the front two. Then come back to the back of the exhaust and twist it to pull it off the front pipe. Bring the exhaust back. Bring it around the skid plate. Then, bring it forward to remove it.

With the factory system out of the way, the first thing you're gonna do, is remove these two bolts on the charcoal canister bracket. They're both 16 millimeter bolts. Then you're gonna install this exhaust hanger bracket that AFV supplies. Re- install the bolts that you just removed. Make sure this bracket is pointing towards the drive shaft. Install a clamp over the white plate. Install the rubber hanger onto the muffler pipe. Install the muffler onto the white plate. Install the rubber hanger onto the frame mount. Install the provided rubber hanger onto the bracket that you just installed. Then onto the muffler.

Install the last clamp over the muffler. Then install the tail pipe. Install another rubber hanger. Install the last hanger, then you can move on to tightening the clamps. Tighten the clamps with a 15 millimeter socket. Start at the front then work your way back. Re-install your skid plate, then your installation's finished. All right, let's hear it. Our AFV Cat-Back exhaust is installed. We got that big muffler out of the way. The tail pipe's tucked up nice and high for better clearance. It sounds pretty good to. Gave our Jeep a nice throaty sound. Installation should only take about an hour, and before you know it, you'll be heading off road.
