It's engineered to be a complete direct-fit upgrade to your current system, and will full-replace the air box, filter and intake tubing. This upgraded filter can be oiled or left dry depending on what you want, and since it's washable you can re-use it for years to come. Tech Tip: The unshrouded design of this cold air intake does leave the filter exposed. For this reason, Airaid strongly recommends that the intake be used in dry controlled conditions only such as those experienced on a closed course or race track. If this cold air intake is to be used outside of those conditions, we suggest taking advantage of the Airaid Pre-Filter (ARF35).
