Airaid CARB Certified Modular Intake Tube for all 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 V6 Mustangs.

An air intake upgrade on a late model Mustang isn’t complete without a new intake tube. Replacing the stock air intake gives your engine more air, helping it “breathe” better, and increases your overall horsepower. Airaid modular intake tubes are designed to conform to boost the performance of your pony car while adhering to essential legal standards that keep your Mustang complaint.

If you are looking for a 50-state legal performance modification for your late-model Mustang V6, Airaid has just released new Modular Intake Tubes (MIT) for your 2011-2014 Ford Mustang with 3.7L engine. Airaid has obtained CARB certification for these Modular Intake Tubes, and are legal for use and sale in all 50 states. Gone are the days of not being able to alter the intake side of your engine while staying within the confines of the law.

Airaid Modular Intake Tubes Come with Big Performance Benefits

Airaid Modular Intake Tubes optimize airflow to the engine by replacing the factory intake tube. Factory tubes often have odd accordion shaped walls, internal sound-canceling baffles, and undersized tube diameters, all of which will hurt airflow and affect performance. Airaid MIT kits help straighten and improve airflow to the engine while optimizing the location of the mass air sensor. This design will provide better throttle response and additional horsepower along with better fuel economy all while remaining 50-state legal and not requiring a recalibration of the vehicle ECM.

Airaid modular intake tubes are manufactured using high-density polyethylene for durability. They’re also designed for optimal airflow so you never have to worry about an air shortage in your engine. This unit is even CARB certified so you can be sure you’re buying a quality part.

Features and Benefits:
- 50-State Legal Performance
- CARB Certified
- Optimizes Airflow
- Provides Better Throttle Response
- Increases Horsepower and Improves Fuel Economy
- Resistant to Heat Transfer
- Constructed of Strong High-Density Polyethylene
- Includes all Necessary Couplers and Clamps

The Airaid Modular Intake Tube is constructed of cross-linked high-density polyethylene for strength and resistance to heat transfer. MIT tubes are direct replacement for factory intake tubes and accommodate all of the factory sensors and fittings that attach to the factor tube. MIT tubes work with the factory throttle body and intake box. All necessary couplers and clamps are included, and installation will take only a few minutes.

*The Airaid MIT does relocate the MAF Sensor, but it does NOT require a tune. Compatible with factory ECM calibration.

Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would be great, if actually completed at factory. After waiting the full 10 days to receive this item from Airaid I begin installation and find? The tube has a smaller than needed hole for the PCV fitting to be installed. The hole is large enough to accept the end that I need to connect to the PCV tube not the grommet end as in the instructions. Now I get to wait for a new one (another 10 days) which maybe manufactured correctly... Or, I can go out buy a drill bit and do the work myself. Which, really justifies the $100 plus for a chunk of plastic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If it was cheaper This is very easy to install yet it would be better with some larger supplied clamps as they have to basically be opened all the way. The intake helps clean up the engine bay and helps the engine note sound fuller. Not sure if there really are performance gains without a dyno. Worth $108 for better sound and look? i dont think so. Wish it was $75 or less as its just a FRP tube with some fittings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Addition! This was worth the money! The sound is great and better response time in acceleration than the OEM.. And it will instal with the AirAid throttle body spacer...Not sure if it really improves on gas mileage.. I think that really depends on how you drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Awesome Under the Hood This tube looks awesome compared to the the ugly stock tube. Installation is very easy, all you need is a screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. In 15 minutes you are done.

Why are there 2 black bolts? I took a look under my hood and there is only one tube with sensor, what is the 2end? What for is the second one on you're picture? what will happen if i delete it with de second bolt on the picture and dont ad any tubeto it?

Asked by: Dima
Depending on if you have a Automatic or Manual will determine which black fitting you will use. if you have a Manual car, the black fitting that will act as a plug will be used. And if you have an Automatic car, the black fitting with the hose connection will be used. Airaid supplies both, but you will only need one.
