American Powertrain 5-Speed Manual Transmission Tremec TKX-600 With .81 Overdrive

Serving as the latest generation of Tremec 5-speed transmission, the American Powertrain TKX (TCET18084) offers serveral big improvements over the last-gen TKO. These upgraded 5-speeds can support up to 600 lb-ft of torque for custom project vehicles.

A primary advantage of this transmission over alternative designs is its compact design and minimal weight. At only 99 pounds, these are around 30lbs lighter than a T-56 Magnum 6-Speed: another favorite among enthusiasts. The TKX retains the modular shifter location possibilities of the previous generation, making it a great swap for a wide variety of project vehicles.

The internals of this transmission have been completely redesigned, to reduce noise and increase durability. Unique materials like nickel-molybdenum steel are also employed for increased strength. These transmissions are ready for 7500 RPM shifts all day.
