This pair of 13-inch Baer Brakes Eradispeed-Plus 2-Piece Rear Brake Rotors (P/N: 2262023) is a direct replacement for all 2015-2020 EcoBoost Mustangs that are outfitted with the Performance Pack or GT Mustang. They are designed to work seamlessly with the factory single piston caliper and brake pads that come equipped from the factory. These 13-inch rotors feature a drilled and slotted design for added braking performance along with directional vanes. The 2-Piece construction utilizes an anodized black 6061-T6 aluminum center hat that is bolted to the rotor ring, allowing for a major decrease in rotational mass.

Most of the modifications I've done to my 2015 Mustang GT so far are meant to increase horsepower and improve the overall handling of the car. I didn't touch the braking system because honestly the factory Brembos did a really good job for me, but I recently installed a set of Baers' Eradispeed plus front rotors. I'm really happy with the performance and the looks of these so today I'm going to install the matching rears on my 2015 Mustang GT.

This 13 inch Baer Eradispeed rotor is going to be a direct replacement for the rear rotors on all Mustang GTs and the performance pack Ecoboost Mustang. It will be a direct replacement, but it's a two piece rotor with a 6061 billet aluminum hat that comes anodized in black, then the rotor itself is going to be vented and have these veins and additional cross-drilled slots for extra heat dissipation. This is also going to be a lot lighter than your factory rotors.

Start the installation by getting your car up off the ground so you can remove the wheels. Before you do it, make sure you break the lug nuts free, then get it up in the air and pull off the lug nuts.

To remove the rotor we have to take the caliper off so we're going to remove the bracket by taking the bolt off here, and the other one up here. Before you begin this step make sure your emergency brake or parking brake is turned off because if it's on you'll never get this off.

In most cases now you can take the rotor right off. Sometimes there might be a small little amount of washer you have to remove. In my case my wheels require these hub centric adapters. These spacers actually have to come off first before the rotor will come off.

Here you can see a comparison between the Eradispeed rotor and the stock rotor we just removed. As you can see the venting is much better in the Eradispeed rotor, plus you get the veins and the cross drilling which does a better job of getting rid of gasses and heat from the rotor overall. Honestly it looks a hell of a lot better too.

We're out in the warehouse on one of our shipping scales. I'll show you the difference in weight between the two rotors. Here's your factory rotor. 17.3 pounds. Then the Baer Eradispeed rotor comes to only 11.5 pounds. You see a nice, decent, almost 6 pound weight savings over the factory rotor. That's 6 pounds of rotating mass which is quite a bit.

Now we’re ready to install our new rotor. Make sure you grab the correct side. They are labeled. If you're not sure you want to make sure the veins kind of go against the rotation when they're installed. I have to reinstall my ring before I install the caliper. The rotor installed, now we can reinstall our caliper. Repeat the process on the other side and your installation's finished.

Once you get the rotors on, get your wheels back on, get them torqued to spec you're ready to hit the road. You want to be careful before you do this though. You have to season the rotors to make them last and perform properly. There's actually detailed instructions in the box from Baer, but what it basically consists of is driving normal, no heavy braking, no performance driving, for five to six days. Do some normal heat cycles to basically break the rotor in. After that there's detailed instructions on basic doing a certain speed, say 60 miles per hour, then drop to 15 and do that over and over again with different levels of brake to properly season the rotor. Once you do that you'll get long life and excellent performance from your Eradispeed rotors.

The Baer Eradispeed Rotors look great on the car. With their ability to dissipate heat and light weight they're an excellent performance upgrade as well. As far as the installation goes, the only tools you'll need are whatever you'll need to get the car off the ground and remove the wheel, and an 18mm socket. The installation should take you no more than about an hour for each side so you'll be back on the road in no time.
