Novice skill is required for this installation.
This axle-back exhaust is made of 304 stainless steel tubing and features a straight-through baffle design that will help your Jeep breathe better and give it an aggressive sound. It comes with dual- polished stainless steel tips to give your Jeep a nice touch and today we're going to install it on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler.
This axle-back exhaust is going to be super easy to install. There's only one 15mm nut holding it on. Then you just have to remove the muffler from the two rubber hangers. Remove the 15mm nut on the exhaust clamp. Now we're going to remove this bracket from the rubber hanger on the Jeep. All right. Now we can move to the other hanger.
Once both hangers are disconnected, grab onto the muffler and twist it to break it loose from the pipe. Then you can pull it off. Install the provided clamp over the muffler inlet pipe. Then the hanger that came off with the factory exhaust, put that on your new muffler and then put this into place. Insert the muffler pipe into the intermediate pipe and then you can install the hangers. Install the other hanger. WD40 will help out when install these or any other kind of lubricant. Now you can tighten the clamp on the muffler. Tighten the clamp. Get it as close to the edge as you can for a better seal and now we can move on to installing the tips.
Install the provided clamp over the tip. Then install the tip onto the tailpipe. Position the tip where you want it and then tighten it with a 15mm socket. Then you can move on to the other tip. Realign your tips if you need to and your installation's finished.
All right. Let's see how it sounds. Our Borla Atak Axle-Back Exhaust is installed. It's not too loud. It gives our Jeep a nice sturdy sound. Installation will take you about 30 to 45 minutes and before you know it, you'll be heading off-road.
