Body & Sheet Metal
Restore Your Truck to Glory With Early Bronco Body PartsThe first-generation Ford Bronco offers enormous potential as a project vehicle. With its high seating position and compact size, the Bronco is equally willing to do duty as suburban runabout or off-road pathfinder. These ‘60s and ‘70s trucks were available in three different body styles: half cab, wagon and roadster. The different body styles each featured unique styling, which can make finding early Bronco body parts difficult.
The Bronco roadster is a particularly rare and collectible truck due to the low number of roadsters sold — roughly 5,000 total — throughout the production of the first-generation truck. Roadsters were often run with doors removed or with windowless doors, which are one of the rare pieces you’ll find in our selection of Bronco sheet metal. A removable roof panel, another of the Bronco sheet metal pieces we stock, could be installed on roadster models when the weather was less than ideal for top-down motoring.
Find Ford Bronco Body Parts for Wagons and Half CabsThe Bronco wagon was by far the most popular variant in the Bronco line and was responsible for around three-quarters of all Bronco sales at the peak of first-generation Bronco production. With more space for passengers and better weather protection, the wagon was understandably popular. The wagon’s fully enclosed structure was also stronger than other models and offered increased protection from rollovers, probably a contributor to the lack of open-topped SUVs on the market today.
In the role of the awkward middle child was the Bronco half cab. Equipped with a bed where the Bronco wagon included extra storage space or additional seats, the half cab was perhaps more practical than the roadster but not by much. These trucks are nearly as difficult to find as their roadster cousins, with fewer than 20,000 built in their abbreviated production run from 1966-1971.
Whether you’re looking for half cab fenders or wagon side mirrors, we hope you’ll explore the wide selection of Bronco sheet metal available at CJ Pony Parts.
