Sick and tired of those squeaky polyurethane bushings in your classic Mustang's suspension? Are the coil spring perches too rigid and inhibiting? This CJ Classics High Performance Coil Spring Saddle C4DZ-3388-HP for all 1965-1973 Mustangs is the answer you've been looking for.

This spring saddle will come with Synthetic Elastomer bushings. The Synthetic Elastomer bushings feature the quality ride of rubber at lower speeds and at higher speeds react when under cornering, accelerating and braking loads, for chassis control and improved handling. The advanced synthetic elastomer characteristics ensure superior elasticity, memory and outright durability for all forms of driving. The elastomer is very durable and will be resistant to oil, grease, and weather.

Also included are new locking nuts and an anti-squeak coil protector pad to ensure those irritating noises will not be heard. This high quality coil spring saddle, or perch, can rotate 360 degrees on the shaft. This allows the front suspension to articulate and align freely and as necessary. This range and fluidity of movement also provides for ease of installation of this CJ Classics High Performance Coil Spring Saddle on your 1965-1973 Mustang.

Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like that it pivots. Before I received these high performance saddles I had previously ordered the standard Scott Drake saddles which I returned. Those did not pivot like the high performance ones do. For me, it made the installation of new coil springs easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality Scott Drake Products are Great Quality. This Coil Spring Seat has swivel bearing allowing for better install. I'm using it with the Global West Tubular Upper Control Arms and it will help with ease of installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Bought these to replace the stock replacement ones that came in the suspension kit I bought. The stock ones have almost no movement. Made spring installation very difficult and probably made for poor function on the road. These are far superior. Supposedly not as good as full roller bearing ones, but for the price these have to be just as good, and miles ahead of the stock ones. Totally worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Had to return one Ordered two of these to replace old rubber bushing perches. One came with lock nuts installed the other was missing the lock nuts, additionally, one of the bolts appeared to have been cross threaded. A quick call to CJPP and a new one arrived a couple of days later. I would have rated higher but it appears Scott Drake let this one make it out of the factory. FYI- these are made in Australia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big improvement from stock While roller bearing spring perches are the gold standard, I had run out of budget on my suspension build and had points to spend with CJ. I installed these a few months ago and have no regrets. Better than stock? You bet. By a lot. As good as roller perches? I don't know, but I have no regrets with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit perfectly Product fit perfectly was excellent quality. Purchased a set of these with the Scott Drake 1" lowering springs and had no problems with installation. If you're pad on the spring purch does try to move on install just spray some silicon spray on pads and spring will move freely on pad during installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product Great product for the price, the rolling feature is well worth it. One of the grease zerks didn't fit properly and the grease would come out from the sides. Ended up keeping it and just threading in a bigger one with thread lock instead of returning.

Does it matter which way its mounted? Right now I have the spring end stop on the inside, closest to the engine.

Asked by: Highgrove
That would be the correct orientation.
