If I have a stock C Code 289 ( 2 brl 200 HP), can I assume the fuel line is 5/16" or the 3/8" ? It would seem that if you had a 225 hp / 4 brl or the HiPo 271 HP, you might have the bigger line ( 3/8")

Asked by: Mike W
I also have a C code and my fuel line is 5/16". Only the Shelby GT350R had a 3/8" fuel line for '65.

Hi,  my fuel line is 3/.8 and my sending unit is 5/16. Both seem to be original and the fuel line is attached to the sending unit with a 6 inch neoprene hose with a clamp on each en. If I get the 3/8 sending unit would it fit in the same hole as the 5/16?

Asked by: Joe Ferraro
Yes, you're good.

How do I determine if I need the 5/16" or 3/8" tube on the fuel sending unit? I have a 1966 coupe.

Asked by: 110Tim
Check your fuel lines. If you have 5/16-inch lines, you need the 5/16-inch sending unit. Same goes for the 3/8-inch.
