Clutch Equalizer Bar Kit 289/302 1967-1968 is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect The parts came and we're an excellent package, the upper bar from the pedal assembly to the z bar was a the wrong one for my application. The kit came with two bushings but three are needed.

My 68 Mustang had this set up with original 302 and a 4 spd out of a 390 GT Torino, but now i have a 1989 351w( 408 stroker ). Will this kits brackets work with this engine ?

Asked by: PONYBOY1968
You would have to check the drivers side of the engine block for a threaded hole where the equalizer bar ball stud would go, most likely with the year of the engine there isn't a threaded hole for the ball stud.

Does this kit come with any helpful hints. The bracket connected to the unibody is under the steering box and basically inaccesable. Any help in this matter will be very helpful. I have signed up for an email when it is in stock.

Asked by: Davidroyal
This kit does not come with instructions. Under the description on the parts web page there are some installation instructions. The bolts to the bracket you are referring to can be accessed from under the car.

I am swapping a 4 speed toploader for my old C4.  Does this kit have all the linkage needed minus the clutch pedal and clutch fork?

Asked by: Jeremy Smith
Having just pulled this out of my 4spd car to pull the engine, these are all the parts in the engine bay minus the fork except the bolts that hold the bracket to the fender apron behind the steering box.
