Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pure disappointment While the installation was easy and the final fit is great, the sound quality is very poor when in auxiliary mode. When switched from fm radio to auxiliary, there is a large amount of crackling and popping. My first one fried the mother board. They replaced it and blamed my phones auxiliary jack of causing the feedback (weird since this happens on every phone we use). I was told they would not replace if it happened again. Now we listen with caution and immediately turn off when we hear the noise so we do not burn it up. Happens all the time, but I can not afford a better radio. Very angry

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great retro looking radio I bought to replace a broken radio but wanted to keep it looking stock. This radio retains the factory look and fits nicely. I did not care for the bullet style connectors for the wiring so I opted to splice and use butt connectors that had heat shrink ends and the radio works nicely. The buttons are cheap plastic, but I guess most all of them are anywhere near in this price range. They looks good, though. Overall, I think this is a great radio at this price point if you cannot or will not spend more for a higher end type radio. You not need to be a wiring or radio pro to do this install as it's pretty straight forward.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs at least two speakers to work Unfortunately I had to return the radio as my 66 Mustang came from the factory with only one dash speaker. This radio requires at least two and is designed for 4.Since I wanted to keep the vehicle as close or original as possible, I decided to return it and was not charged a restocking fee. The service rep was very polite and I received my refund quickly. I can not rate the radio as it was never installed. Would suggest a warning that this radio requires at least two speakers in the product description.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for the price Its a good replacement for the money but do not expect a high quality radio. It work well, looks good, sound is good, very easy install, fits perfect and its not expensive. So that makes it a pretty good replacement and I did NOT want a big sound system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Custom autosound radio Had mine fitted 18 months ago, looks great, works as well as it can in my '65 V8. What do you want to hear? a V8 rumble or radio while cruising.? Great value for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Autosound radio I bought this as a Christmas gift and it was not a disappointment. My husband only wanted a radio like what was in the 66 Mustang. The sound quality is great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nothing to rave about Very cheap and "delicate". No chrome - all plastic. I finally installed this last week. The left knob's stem broke (because it's very soft cheap metal) and now the knob does not stay on. Very disappointed. It sounds ok. Nothing to brag about. But it feels very cheap and you can tell it's low quality as soon as you touch the knobs. Again I will be very careful in the future when buying from CJ Pony Parts.

Do you offer a faceplate or bezel for this unit. My car has had a different radio in the past so I need to cover some holes.

Asked by: Kraft
The "Dynacorn Radio Dash Repair Panel Metal 1965-1966" available from CJ should cover those holes.

Is there a way to change the green color of the display to blue so it can match my LED Dash lights?

Asked by: skiraly
If you can find some one who repairs car stereos they may be able to change the color but it will void the warranty.

Hey there will this radio work in New Zealand I'm assuming not if not is there any sort of band expander that can be brought to make it pick up the radio stations Cheers

Asked by: Logan123
You shouldn't have an issue. This radio is compatible with both American and European stations. We have had Australian customers use it with success as well.
