Ford Performance Cylinder Head Gasket 429/460 Standard Bore Wedge
Ford Performance Standard Bore Cylinder Head Gasket for Mustangs with 429 and 460 Engines.
If you're rebuilding a 429 or 460 Ford Performance engine for your beauty of a race vehicle, than be sure to pick up a new Cylinder Head Gasket M-6051-A441 by Ford Performance from CJ Pony Parts while you're at it!
This is a race-quality, competition cylinder head gasket from Ford Performance. It features a solid metal core and wire encased combustion chamber seal, and will install onto both 429 and 460 engines.
Engine assemblers should lay the head gasket on the block and the cylinder head (with front of gasket toward the front of the engine) to make sure there is a path for coolant flow from the block into the head. In some cases, holes may have to be drilled in the block or head or punched in the gasket. Water holes in this specific gasket match blocks produced after May of 1994. Earlier blocks require modifications--8 lower holes and 6 upper holes will need to be drilled and 4 holes will need to be plugged. Ford Performance has included a gasket template for any necessary modifications.
- 4.360 standard bore diameter
- 4.500 gasket diameter
- 0.0425 compressed thickness and 11.2cc compressed volume.
