Please Note: This is an LED replacement for the factory incandescent bulbs only and will not work with the factory LED options found on Sport S and Sport models. They will NOT work on Sahara or Rubicon model Jeeps.
Tech Tip: When upgrading to LED turn signals, we have found the JL’s indicator lights on the gauge cluster will blink faster while your front and rear turn signals will flash like normal. This is because these LEDs use less power than your factory halogen bulbs. If this is the case, it can be corrected by using a resistor (RESISTKIT) to simulate the resistance of your factory bulbs.

Factory incandescent amber bulbs in your new JL are pretty dull and lack a custom touch. So today we're gonna be installing these Dyno Dynamics daytime running lights switchback lights fitting your new 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler. These Dyno Dynamics LED lights feature a high brightness LED technology with an amber and white switchback design. It's gonna replace your factory-installed incandescent bulb and give you a little more light output when you have your daytime running lights on. It's a new, advanced bulb design for high reliability, and it's a direct replacement for our new 2018 JL. This LED bulb is gonna modernize the front end of our Jeep. With that being said, let's get it installed on our new 2018 JL.
One of the neat things about the new JL is the new turn signal on the front. It features a clear lens, and it's gonna allow us to put the switchback LED in. It simply requires the removal of one pushpin and then twisting out the old bulbs. So let's get started. In order to gain access to the bulb, you have to remove this pushpin right here. We're gonna use a trim removal tool and pull it out towards us. The inner fender liner needs to be pulled off a little bit. That way you can see the back of the housing right here for the bulb. Go ahead and twist that counterclockwise and then pull it out towards you and remove the factory bulb. Now you're ready to install the new switchback LED. Now it's ready to be reinserted in the housing. Twist it clockwise to get it locked in. Put the inner fender lining back into place, and then we're gonna reinstall the pushpin that we pulled out first. Go ahead and repeat the same process on the other side, and your installation is complete.
From left to right, you can see the differences between the factory amber bulb and our new Dyno Dynamics switchback light. They go great with our LED headlights and give it a clean, crisp look on the front end. We just finished up the install of the Dyno Dynamics switchback LED lights, and they almost look like a factory option on our JL. It's a really crisp light, and it looks great on the front end. Took us about 15 minutes, and you only need a trim removal tool.
