We’re here with a billet aluminum deal pedal fitting all 2015 through 2016 Mustang's from Drake Muscle Cars. This billet dead pedal from Scott Drake is a great dress up over the factory pedal found on all 2015 through 2016 Mustangs. It's made up of a T6061 billet aluminum, has a nice custom race-inspired look to it, and then the clear anodize finish, which is going to hold up really well. The installation is pretty straight forward. Your factory dead pedal's held in place by clips. All you've got to do is get a grip on it and pop it right off. This plate will remain attached to the floor. There's three plastic screws here. Remove the three plastic screws to remove this panel. Replace it with the Scott Drake metal backing panel. Again, use three plastic screws to hold it in place. Then, you'll install the dead pedal. Line up the holes, and install the supplied hardware. The installation won't require any cutting or drilling or any permanent modifications to your Mustang. This billet dead pedal adds a nice custom touch to any 2015 through 2016 Mustang. Matching pedal sets for manual and automatic transmission Mustangs are also available.
Rated 4 out of 5 by NigelB from Tricky but looks good Takes about an hour , not a direct replacement as new holes for the base plate need to be made and a lot of carpet cutting to get it to fit. The plastic screws in the base plate round off very easily so be careful or replace them, the fitting to the base plate is a long job, you are working blindy , still cutting out more carpet and there is no guide. I used the technique mentioned here about using drill bits as guides. This worked but still tricky and frustrating. Looks good in the end but suggest they change to baseplate to dead pedal fixing method to studs and covers rather than hex bolts

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rokas from High quality, looks great! I was surprised with the quality of this dead pedal, very nicely machined. The OEM plastic part looked like a cra*p comparing with this. OEM part is all plastic (including the back panel). This one is all metal (front panel - aluminum, back panel - steel). When installing the dead pedal everything was fine, except putting back the plastic kick panel. I hate working with plastic interior panels, and this wasn't an exception, it's just hard to install the stuff back, takes time and effort, plus need to be careful not to break something. Finding the holes for bolts through the carpet wasn't easy either. Other than that, looks awesome and a really good $ deal. The installation took about an hour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lvmedic13 from Nice add No holes need to be drilled, it takes about 30-45 min. Pull off plastic pedal peel back carpet unscrew old plate screw in new one, cut carpet at corners for the new holes screw in 4 screws

Rated 5 out of 5 by Moxman from Nice replacement for boring plastic I just finished the installation of this dead pedal today. It's really easy and, contrary to another review, there's no drilling involved at all. You'll need a pry tool (preferably plastic) to pop the clips (3) to remove the plastic pedal. Then, you'll need to roll the carpet away from the area, to gain access to the mounting plate. It's easier if you gently lift the kick panel, to allow removal of the carpet. You'll need a small square drive bit (common size) to remove the three screws that hold the baseplate to the floor. Install the new baseplate. To mount the pedal, you'll need to notch the carpet, so the screws will fit. I used an Exacto (sp.) knife to cut small notches where the screws will fit. Then, to make the install easy, I used drill bits as alignment dowels and slid the pedal over them. I removed them, one at a time and placed the screws. Snug the screws; done! It took me about 30-45 minutes to do the install. It looks awesome and completes the look of the pedals in the Mustang.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mr GTCS from Finish and looks great I bought this about 3 weeks ago , looks great , there is a little more to it when installing, you have to trim the carpet to make it able to affix it to the floor and I had to pull the carpet from the kick panel which was not mentioned on the installation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Skyscraper831 from Looks good I hated the stock footrest for the s550 so when I saw this is new in had to have it. The backplate is much better quality then stock. Overall it is a nice touch to the car. You will have to cut the carpet a bit so make sure you have an exacto knife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tactical67 from Drake - Billet Dead Pedal I bought this Drake - Billet Aluminum Dead Pedal to replace the stock mustang interior dead pedal...and it really looks great! I had already replaced the stock Gas and Brake pedal covers with the Drake Gas and Brake pedals. Excellent quality and easy to install, you won't be disappointed!

Does this fit right hand drive Mustangs?
Yes it does, I have just fitted. Fitting instructions identical to US Spec, but carpet very difficult to manoeuver out of the way to access the backing plate due to position next to tunnel rather than outer edge. Carpet cutting required to take screws as mentioned in other comments above.
