Dynotech 3-1/2" One-Piece Aluminum Driveshaft for all 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 GT Mustangs.

Replace the weak factory two-piece driveshaft on your 2005-2010 GT Mustang with a high performance one-piece driveshaft from Dynotech. Benefit from improved acceleration, reduced unsprung weight and reduced driveline vibrations with Dynotech's high quality aluminum driveshaft. The Ford driveshaft weighs approximately 32 lbs but Dynotech's lightweight aluminum driveshaft weighs approximately 18 lbs which greatly reduces rotating mass. The RPM rating, or critical speed rating, of these driveshafts is approximately 8,700 RPM. This driveshaft has a horsepower rating of 900 to 1,000.

This Dynotech driveshaft is constructed from 6061 T-6 aluminum with a 0.125'' wall thickness and has a 3-1/2" diameter. Universal joints have clearances less than 0.002'' and driveshafts have less than 0.010'' runout. Dynotech balances all driveshafts to less than 0.20 ounces. By balancing driveshafts up to 8,000 RPM, Dynotech guarantees smooth operation throughout the entire RPM range. Dynotech uses an improved billet pinion flange which replaces the weakest part of the driveshaft. The billet pinion flange reduces weight by one pound, improves driveline runout and helps achieve better balance. Features over 4,000 ft-lbs static torque capability.

Dynotech has over 80 years of experience building driveshafts. The driveshafts are computer welded and high-speed balanced to peak industry standards. All drivshafts are guaranteed to be vibration free and last the life of your vehicle. Dynotech supplies race teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series, Craftsman Truck Series, NHRA, IHRA, SCCA, NSCA, NMRA, APBA, and OSS with driveshafts for their high performance race cars.

Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from dynotect aluminum driveshaft 3-1/2 gt 2005-2010 The directions that came with this driveshaft were not for the '05 to '09 driveshaft They were for the 2000 to '04 and torque 25lb is wrong. That being said I love this driveshaft. Acceleration is better. I lost 1 mpg with tune gained 1 or 2 mpg back, need more road time to be sure. I also had a vibrating sound at 2200 rpms could not find it anywhere asked mustang forum, took their advice, no good, nothing worked. Removed stock 2 piece driveshaft 2 center mounting bolts were only hand tight, if that. Vibrating sound gone. It's a bit pricey but good parts aren't cheap and cheap parts aren't good ! worth the $ !!!

Any automotive parts store should have them. You will need to measure them.

will this be a direct replacement for my stock drive shaft?  Hardware included and torque specs for all bolts?  Thanks for all that you do.

What is the different between 31/2" and 4" dia

Asked by: Marwan
Strength and clearance. The 3.5-inch product will have fewer clearance issues and will get the job done even if you make up to 5-600 horsepower. The 4-inch model will be much stronger for high RPM applications.
