EPAS Performance Electric Power Steering Conversion Kit for all 1966-1977 Broncos.
Tired of fighting to turn your wheels in a parking lot or while driving slow? Replace your worn-out power steering kit and install this EPAS Performance electric power steering kit today! Now you can enjoy modern power steering in your 1966-1977 Bronco. This kit is great for Broncos with limited engine space. This system will fit under the dash of your Bronco giving your engine bay a clean look.
Features and Benefits:
- Modern Electric Power Steering
- Reduced Engine Bay Space
- Decreased Effort
- Under-Dash Fitment
An internal computer measures the amount of effort applied to the steering wheel and amplifies it with the aid of the electric motor. An adjustable knob controls a potentiometer which allows you to create more or less assistance. For example, you can set maximum power assist while you are in a parking lot, and decrease the assist while on the highway.
Although this kit is made to work with the factory steering column, modifications to the steering column are required. The steering shaft must be cut near the steering box to install the included steering shaft. The modifications required on the steering column are low enough that they do not interfere with the ignition switch on the column of your Classic Bronco.
An upgraded electrical system is not required; all electrical wiring is plug and play except for a required power source and a ground. All parts are located under the dash and are almost completely visible, which greatly aids in its simple installation.
This Kit Includes:
- Potentiometer to adjust the amount of steering assist
- Firewall plate for steering shaft support with bearing
- Electric power steering motor
- Steering shaft with u-joints
- Electronic control box
- Wiring harness
- On/off switch
Please Note: Bronco must be floor shift. A steering column that has the column shift ability can be used but the shifter will need to be relocated to the floor.
