This Pro Link Shackle (00015-01) is precision machined from billet aluminum right here in the USA where it is also engineered and tested for quality assurance. Each mount is stress analyzed using COSMOS FEA and destructively tested as well. It's finished in a hard anodized red and zinc plated for additional durability over time and corrosion resistance. With this shackle mount you can easily and safely attach a standard 3/4" screw pin shackle to existing winch cable and rope eyes. The eye is captured into the ProLink by a removable over-sized 5/8" double shear pin. This thimble works with both Hawse and Roller fairleads and will snugly cinch against each version.

In order to make sure that your jeeps recovery system is as safe as possible, I'm going to show you how to install this Factor 55 Pro Link onto our winch here. We're already running their Hass Fairlead on here, so it'll look really nice. Plus this is a red anodized, so it's going to look really pretty on the front end of your jeep too, give you some winch jewelry, so I'll show you how to put it on.

On the back end of our Factor 55 Pro Link you can see that there's this rubber base plate. This is going to stop it and press it against the Hass Fairlead, allowing it to get nice and tight. However it's not going to damage anything because it's not metal on metal. I'll show you how to put the end of the thimble end of your synthetic winch line into here, and put your retention pin back in.

Put the thimble in through the back, and we'll put the retention pin down through. You can see it's caught in there. To get the snap ring back into place, you are going to need a special tool, what's called a pair of snap ring pliers. You can find these at your local hardware store, honestly it's probably a good idea to buy them if you have this on here, it's a cheap tool to have in case you need to service it.

Just place it in, and there'll be a groove in there that it'll actually sit into. Look all the way around the edge, make sure that it's properly seated. I'm going to throw this D ring on, give you guys a look of what it looks like with that on, and how it would be with that closed loop system. Now with that on there, all you have to do is run a toe strap through here, wrap it to a tree, to whoever is stuck, and now there's nothing that can break on here, this is 16,000 pounds rated, plus you've got a good shackle on there, it's a completely closed loop, it's not going to snap off. Always be safe while you're winching.

The Pro Link's all installed, it looks great on the front end of my jeep, really gives it a nice accent color with that red. There's a bunch of other colors available, gray, black, red, and some other models that'll look great on your jeep too. You can find all those different options right here at CJPonyParts.com.
