California Residents: Proposition 65 Warning
Novice skill is required for this installation.
Jeremy: Well, thanks Freddy. This is our Force Two system, fits 2012 up to 17, 2 and 4 door. With this system, really you could install it on the ground if you wanted to. If you are doing it at home on your driveway, throw it on, 30 minutes an hour you're ready to go.
Freddy: Awesome, lets get to the installation.
Tools you'll need for this installation: half-inch ratchet, 15 millimeter socket, 3/8 ratchet, 10 millimeter socket, and you'll probably need an exhaust hanger removal tool.
So we got the Jeep up in the air. We're about to remove the factory system. Jeremy, what's the first thing I should do?
Jeremy: Yeah, thanks Freddy. You know, this is kind of what I was talking about before. This is ugly, we want that out of there. I'm sure it weighs a ton as well. You know, it's important to know too, that it's great we've got a lift for this, makes it pretty convenient. But if you're a do it yourselfer at home in your driveway, literally you can lay underneath this thing and take it off. Especially if you've got a lift, or lift-kit of a Jeep, makes it so simple.
And this is a great kit. It fits the 12 and 17 JKs, the 2 and the 4 door. So that works there. We start off, there's a clamp right here. We remove that, you take it out of the hangers, we put the new one on.
Simple as that.
Freddy: Sounds simple.
Remove the nut right here on this clamp with a 15 millimeter socket.
You can remove this rubber hanger from either the muffler bracket or the chasse bracket. But it looks like it's going to be easier to remove it from the chasse bracket cause it's a little bit shorter.
Then remove the driver's side rubber hanger from the muffler bracket.
Then twist and pull off the muffler.
With the factory system out of the way, the first thing we are going to do is put this clamp over the over-axle pipe.
Then get the muffler into the rubber hanger, then into the over-axle pipe.
Put the passenger side hanger over the tail pipe, then install the clamp over the muffler.
Insert the tail pipe into the muffler. Then hang it to the frame bracket.
Tighten both clamps with a 15 millimeter socket.
And your installation is finished.
All right let's hear it.
Our Flowmaster Force Two axle-back exhaust is installed. Jeremy, is there anything you'd like to add?
Jeremy: Great work on this Freddy. Thanks for having me out. You know, this Jeep sounds a lot better, it's going to perform better. We've been known for street performance and race mufflers for years but we're excited to be in the off road market. Giving better performance and sound to Jeep owners. Best part is, made in the US.
Freddy: Awesome. This exhaust along with other Flowmaster exhausts can be found for you JK Wrangler at CJPonyParts.com.
