Flowmaster Delta Force Cold Air Intake Kit for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 EcoBoost Mustangs.

Your cold air intake and your engine go hand-in-hand. By allowing fresh, cold air into the engine, your 2015-2023 Mustang gets a boost and combustion is easier, meaning more efficient performance. For this to work, though, you'll need an intake that can stand up with your 2.3L EcoBoost engine. This Flowmaster Delta Force Cold Air Intake Kit (P/N: 615160) is designed specifically to work with S500s with 2.3L EcoBoost engines, so you can be sure the two will work perfectly together to get you the best performance possible.

This cold air intake is constructed here in the USA using high quality materials for long-lasting durability and dependability. The Delta Force system features an ultra-locking, custom black cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) high-flow intake tube. The tube comes with black anodized aluminum fittings, reinforced silicone couplers and all stainless steel hardware. The intake also has a large diameter high-flow conical shaped 8-layer cotton gauze air filter. This filter traps more dirt than common 6-layer designs for a better filtration result. The system also includes a custom-fit black powder-coated air dam with attachment brackets that can be used to securely mount the intake system in place and with soft bumpers to eliminate potentially damaging metal-to-metal contact under your hood. Installation is easy and doesn't require any permanent modifications to your Mustang, nor does this system require any tuning to use. With this intake system, you could gain up to 8 percent more horsepower and torque for your Mustang.

We're going to add some extra horsepower to this 2015 Mustang EcoBoost, with help from Flowmaster but it's probably not what you're thinking.

This is Flowmaster's Delta Force Cold Air Intake, fitting your 2015 through 2018 EcoBoost Mustang.

This is going to be a direct replacement for the factory intake. Features a high flow polyethylene tube and a reusable eight layer filter.

Now, Flowmaster claims 8% horse power and torque gains with no tune required.

For this installation you need a 1/4" ratchet, 8mm socket, 10mm socket, 11mm socket, 13mm socket, short extension, 4mm Allen key, 13/16" wrench, pliers and cutters.

Now, the first step of the installation process is obviously to remove our factory components. We're going to start over here with this bolt on the fender well. We're going to remove that, disconnect a couple of clamps and remove the whole air intake as one piece.

Okay, with the bolt off, disconnect this sensor here. Don't forget to pop the clip off the air box. Push that aside and move on to the clamps over here.

Okay, this is the re-circulation hose. I'm going to remove that from our stock intake and then right behind it, PCV hose. Right, then the last step here is to loosen the clamp at the turbo. Lift up over here and remove.

We'll begin the installation now by getting this filter adapter and we'll screw it to the heat shield with supplied hardware.

I'm going to install this bracket here and I'm just going to snug this up. Don't get it all the way tight. You want to have a little bit of adjustment on this when you install it.

And this bracket here is going to go on the back side. Again, snug it down but don't tighten all the way.

All right, now we can install the gasket for the heat shield. You want to start here at the bottom corner. Just going to basically just press this on. When you get down here at the end, just want to cut a little bit off and make it flush.

Now we're going to put the shield down into place and this bottom bracket, there's actually going to be a hole down here on the side of the frame rail it's going to bolt to.

Right, now we can tighten down all the hardware.

Okay. We're ready to prep our inlet tube now for installation. I'm going to start with this fitting here. Put a little bit of thread sealant tape on there. Okay, now I'm going to install this silicone coupler here with the clamps.

Now we're going to install the air temp sensor. I'm going to start with this grommet that's included. To install the sensor, just put a little silicone on the O-ring and it'll help to actually go in a little bit easier.

Okay, we're going to put the inlet tube now down into place and we'll connect it to the turbo and our air box.

Okay, now we're going to connect the PCV and the return hose for the discharge. Don't forget to reconnect the sensor.

Last step, install the filter and your installation is finished.

All right, let's fire it up and hear how it sounds.

Yeah, immediately the turbo is definitely louder with the aftermarket cold air intake.

The Flowmaster Delta Force Cold Air Intake looks better under the hood, sounds a little bit better and should add some horsepower as well, it's going to flow better than the stock box.

As far as the installation goes, figure about an hour or so. You'll be back on the road in no time.
