Focus ST Suspension Bushings

Suspension Bushings
With upgraded springs and coilovers, the first correction you need to make is for camber, which is the alignment of the tires to the road. Suspension bushings keep the tire perpendicular to the road, with zero degrees of angle, so the tires wear evenly. However, when a suspension upgrade is thrown into the mix, the existing suspension bushings can't adjust for the changes, forcing the camber to be negative or positive, which prevents even tire wear. New suspension bushings will correct the negative or positive camber, allowing for even tire wear again.
Meanwhile, the caster of your vehicle is the backward or forward tilt of the steering axis. Just like camber, suspension bushings help to keep the caster at a zero degree angle for even wear and performance. However, the suspension bushings won't likely be able to keep your caster at a zero angle in the case of a suspension upgrade, so you'll need these new suspension bushings to allow it to hit that zero degree angle again. Both types of suspension bushings are available from CJ Pony Parts, so make your order now to keep your Focus ST performing at its peak!
