I purchased a motor and switch for a 2001 mustang, from CJPP, within the last 2 weeks...I'm frustrated. Installed them. Removed fill plug, filled up reservoir, the only thing that happens is the motor makes the whirling sound, but no movement.

Asked by: JYON
Are you getting fluid to the pistons that open and close the top, you may have to operate the motor to fill the pistons with fluid and than recheck the fluid level in the motor reservoir.

The wiring of my switch is still good. I just need the top part of the switch. Any instructions to just replace the top half? As my top still goes back with me using a fork as the metal contact. HAHA Help please.

Asked by: zach1992
You would have to replace the whole switch assembly, you could carefully try to pry it out or from underneath press on the metal tab to release it from the console.

How to take it ff your car?

Asked by: drum50
If you are referring to the convertible top switch that mounts on the console near the parking brake, take two small screwdrivers and pry the ends up. The switch has springs on each end and will pop up and out when pried up.

If you are referring to the convertible top switch that mounts on the console near the parking brake, this would be the correct switch.
