These advanced features, along with an increased 12.0:1 compression ratio, combine to deliver 460 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 420 ft./lb.+ of torque at 4,600 rpm.

The lightweight aluminum cylinder block features a plasma-transferred wire-arc spray weld liner coating, in addition to cross-bolted main bearing caps and thick main bearing bulkheads for bottom-end strength. It also boasts optimized oil drain back and windage control to further support high-rpm performance.

This Ford Performance long block engine assembly utilizes the same sintered steel connecting rods as used on Boss 302 Mustangs. The assembly features engine mount bosses and a bell housing mount pattern commonly seen on 4.6L modular engines. 

Only the best components were used in this assembly, including hypereutectic aluminum pistons, a 10qt capacity composite oil pan and a forged steel crankshaft for strength and durability. You'll also reap the benefits of longer, 12mm head bolts to achieve a higher clamp load.
