Ford Performance Stainless Steel Resonator Delete X-Pipe for all 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 GT Mustangs.

When Ford introduced the all-new 2015-2020 Mustang, the race to develop parts for the aftermarket started almost immediately. With very few parts being able to transfer over from the outgoing 2011-2014 model, Ford Performance has quickly stepped up to the plate to design new parts for the 6th Generation S550 chassis. And one of the first things that every Mustang owner needs to address is the exhaust.

Features and Benefits:
- Converts to a More Efficient X-Pipe
- 409 Stainless Steel Construction
- Aggressive Exhaust Note
- Easy Bolt-In Installation
- Much Lighter than OEM Resonator

Ford Performance Parts offers this Resonator Delete X-Pipe that easily replaces the bulky and restrictive OEM resonator crossover pipe. Manufactured entirely out of 409 stainless steel, this Mustang X-pipe will bolt-in once two simple cuts are made and the OEM segment is unbolted and removed. This new X-pipe will reuse the two factory clamps found on the front and Ford Performance supplies two new clamps to use on the rear section after the appropriate cuts have been made.

*Does NOT require any welding.
*Will NOT require any tuning changes.

Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent fit, Sounds amazing I just received this last Friday and I installed it Saturday 1/17/15. Out of the box the finish is your basic stainless steel finish which is fine unless your a bit particular like me. I hit it with a fine wire wheel and it cleaned up beautifully. Took 10 minutes. The install was very easy and took about an hour with jack and stands. two simple cuts of your existing pipes slip it back on your hangers and align and tighten the supplied clamps. I was shocked how it sounds! Amazing! Deep, throaty, and aggressive. I already installed the Ford Racing axle back exhaust and it sounded good but I wanted more bark. This x-pipe delivered that!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ROOOOAR! Amazingly easy install. I have never done anything like this and managed to knock out this mod by myself in 2 hrs. You definitely do not need a lift for this. After cuts and loosely fitting X pipe you can remount the mufflers one at a time. Followed up by torqueing the forward factory clamps to 35 psi and rear provided clamps to 40 psi as per pre printed provided instructions. The exhausts forward hanger mounts have tabs near the top that prevent them from falling after you remove the 13mm bolts, so don't worry about them dropping. Toss an old rug or large piece of cardboard on the ground before you start so you can easily drag the resonator and mufflers out from under the vehicle so as not to scratch it all up. I love the sound of this pipe and have no intentions of replacing the mufflers at this point. This hands down should have been my first modification.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just enough sound above stock Had the x-pipe welded at my local muffler shop. I was concerned that removing the resonator would make the car too raspy and high pitched but with this x-pipe and stock muffler my 18 GT sounds great. I would say the car is 20% louder under acceleration and the same at idle. I can’t feel any performance gains but that is to be expected as the gains are minimal. Overall if you want a little more sound without drone this product is for you. If you are looking for a significant change in sound pair this with an axle back or just get a full cat back exhaust. I will probably be adding a Ford Performance Axle Back for a little throatier sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely worth it I have an '18 GT with Ford's adjustable exhaust. I was really apprehensive about installing an X-pipe because, although I definitely wanted more volume, I didn't want to spoil the quiet setting for when I'm on the highway. I'm happy to say that the quiet mode is louder outside, but just as quiet inside. All other exhaust modes have been bumped up in volume and tone and it sounds fantastic. If anyone else has the same concerns as I did, worry not; your adjustable exhaust still works great across the range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sound I agree with the other poster that replacing the stock resonator with this X pipe gives the car just the right amount of growl. I don't know about any engine performance gains, my car only has 17 mile on the OD, still breaking the engine in. My only beef is with the instructions that come with the pipe. The instructions state to cut 4 inches from the resonator, and that is not correct. The proper distance should be 5 inches. Other than that it's a snap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Moderate sound with stock mufflers Nice moderate growl with factory mufflers. Easy install at my trusted local muffler shop. They also commented on the quality of the X-pipe. Nice moderate sound so you can have a nice raspy tone and not be "that guy" with the obnoxiously loud exhaust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I have put this on my 5.0 Mustang, and still has Stock Mufflers on the car , and I'm very happy with the sound I'm getting, it really made a Big Difference, for me.... Also easy to put on..... You will like the X-Pipe.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How a Mustang should sound off the assembly line! Install was a breeze. Instructions on the other hand were lacking severely from Ford Racing. Sound is much throatier. Pair this with an axleback, like the Roush, for a Mustang that just screams!

I have a 2018 Mustang GT and I'd like a little more rumble so I'm thinking about an "H" pipe instead of an "X" pipe. I plan on using the OEM mufflers, I just want a little throatier sound and NO HIGHWAY DRONE. Any suggestions?

I have a FRPP by Borla Touring catback (M-5200-M8TC) but the x-pipe developed a crack and now rattled when cold. Will this be a straight replacement or need some mods?

Asked by: cyril185
It should fit with out mods.

Will the X-Pipe work with a Corsa axel back system? Or is the Corsa double helix pipe mandatory, since it goes to 3 inch? Not sure how much factory pipe is left after cutting in Corsa system. Thanks.

Asked by: anthony2558
Yes, this will work with a Corsa Axle-Back. No, the Corsa double helix is not mandatory. There will be about 12-18" of factory piping between this X-Pipe and the Corsa Axle-Back when finished.
