Ford Performance 575 Horsepower 460 Cubic Inch Crate Engine with a Boss 351 Block and Front Sump Oil Pan.

Big blocks are so large that they can be difficult to fit in your vehicle's engine bay. Now you can get big block displacement in a small block package. Ford Performance's Z460 crate engine is the biggest small block Windsor crate engine ever created. The large cubic inch displacement motor pumps out 575 HP and 575 TQ. The foundation of the Z460 is Ford Performance's, formerly Ford Racing, legendary Boss 351 block with premium internal components from the best aftermarket companies. A SCAT forged steel crankshaft, SCAT forged H-beam connecting rods, forged Mahle pistons and Clevite bearings offer high strength and durability to contain the massive amounts of horsepower and torque. The engine is topped off with high port/high flow Ford Performance Z-Heads. Every Ford Performance Z460 engine is hand assembled in the US with strict performance clearances.

Will this engine replace 351c in a 1970 cougar

Asked by: big j
It would not be a direct replacement, this engine is based off of a windsor block.

Hello, I will start to restore a fastback 1967. Can I use this engine 460 (or 427)? If yes, I want to install a new Manual Transmission, could you suggest me the right one for this type of engine? Thank you

Do you have any Ford FE 360 s or 390?

Asked by: Frankie Frank
The Ford FE series of engines have a great history  in performance but unfortunately with the current popularity of small block strokers and the four cam Modular engines, there’s not much demand for the classic FE’s.  But there’s a great source for record setting FE performance engines that should have what you need. Survival Motorsports specializes in 390, 427 and 428 FE engines. Full details are available on their website.

I got a 1970 302 mustang coupe, would this engine fit in my engine bay? if so whats the best automatic transmision i should pair it with to withstand at least 750 horsepower?

Asked by: asap70mustang
asap70mustang...The 1970 Mustang engine bay  has enough width between the shock towers to fit this engine without modifications. Performance Automatic offers a few good choices for high horsepower Ford applications. Their # PA26108 Super Comp C4 transmission is extensively modified with heavy duty internal components. It’s rated for 1000 horsepower and comes with a lifetime warranty. C4 transmissions don’t come with a bellhousing so you would have to choose one. Select a torque converter with the correct stall speed to match your engines requirements and you’re good to go.

I’d like to put this engine in my 1969 Mustang.  I currently have an ‘88 302.  It should be a pretty straight forward swap out?

Asked by: Brid3356
There will be a few things you have to swap over like the oil pan and pick up tube.
