why isn't there a gear set above 3.73 for the IRS ? I have a 2017 GT/CS with auto and 3.55 gears. Would love to go with 4.10's since I have 2 over drives in that auto trans.

I have a PP 2017 European Mustang EcoBoost with automatic transmission, a trac-lok differential and 3.55 rear gear ratio. Is this all I need in order to switch to the 3.73 gears ratio? Also, will this work on the PP European automatic EcoBoost?

Asked by: makissig
According to your web site, the mounting kit you suggested above would be necessary if I would like to replace the potentially worn out or damaged seals and bearings while my IRS housing is apart. My Mustang has less than 4400 miles on it, so I don't think I need to replace any bearings or seals yet. Therefore I would think that the pinion and ring is all I need. Is this correct?

I have a 2017 gt auto with a hellion twin turbo kit with 3.15 gears what would you recommend 3.55 or 3.73 gear swap?

Asked by: ANDY2020
I would honestly stick with the 3.15 or possibly go with a 3.31 gear set. 3.55 or 3.73 tend to be far to aggressive for Automatics with forced induction. But if you were to go with one of those options, go with the 3.55

I have 2016 GT with 3:55- Do you think that there would be that much if a difference or that I would notice that much of a difference going to 3:73s?

Asked by: pnypwr5
I personally went from 3.55 to 3.73 and definitely noticed a difference for the better. The 3.73s are much more suited for this car, especially if you plan on staying NA.
