Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too long This filler pipe was about 1 1/2" longer than my original filler neck, when installed, the beaded end touched the pipe coming up from the tank. It was not a problem for me because I bought the filler pipe to modify to work better with gas station nozzles in California. The curved part of the pipe must have been formed with a very strange tube bender, it was sort of pentagon shaped in cross section. Also this pipe is made from very thin material.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Fit When I installed the filler pipe on my 1967 Mustang, I found the gas cap flange did not align proper. The filler pipe to fuel tank was miss aligned by more than 1 inch off center. Could not connect filler pipe to fuel tank. Had to order another filler pipe and hope for the best. The filler neck flange was miss aligned by one quarter inch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice part, some trimming required Part is heavy gauge, looks good. It did not fit until I enlarged the opening in the tail light panel. This part was not exactly round like the original, so minor trimming was required.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from gas filler tube This part is not bent correctly. If you buy it, you will need to have it bent to fit.

Hello I own a 69 mercury cougar and I had to change my fuel tank while ago it used to have a 20 gallon tank now has a 16 gallon the filler tube is to short is the 68 ford mustang filler tube longer than the 69 as I have a mustang tank installed

Asked by: spik
They are different dimensions, since the cars are designed differently. The 1968 and 1969 Mustang tanks are not cross compatible, so you might be plagued by fitment issues by using the wrong year tank in your model. I'm also unsure of the differences between Cougars and Mustang with regard to tanks.
