The factory exhaust on the JK Wrangler is big, ugly and restrictive, and that is just not okay. Now, although we've already installed a ton of different exhausts on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler, we want to show you as many options as we can, so today we're going to be installing this Gibson axle back exhaust. This Gibson axle back exhaust is made right here in the USA of 2 1/2- inch aluminized steel tubing with dual polished tips to give your Jeep a nice look and sound, but without being too loud. It comes with everything you need for an easy installation, so today we're going to install it on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler.

Tools you will need for this installation: 3/8 ratchet, 15-millimeter socket, a 1/2-inch socket, 9/16 socket, a 1/2-inch wrench, and you might need an exhaust hanger removal tool. This axle back exhaust is going to be super easy to install. There's only one 15- millimeter nut holding it on. Then you just have to remove the muffler from the two rubber hangers. We'll remove the 15- millimeter nut on the exhaust clamp. Now we're going to remove this bracket from the rubber hanger on the Jeep. All right, now we can move to the other hanger. Once both hangers are disconnected, grab onto the muffler and twist it to break it loose from the pipe. Then you can pull it off. With the factory system out of the way, the first thing we're going to do is put a clamp on the over axle pipe.

Grab the muffler assembly and install it onto the over axle pipe, then get it on the driver's side hanger, and then get it on the passenger side hanger, and tighten down the clamp. Then tighten the clamp with a 9/16 socket. Install each tip with the provided hardware, adjust them to your liking, and then tighten them with a 1/2-inch wrench and socket, and your installation's finished. All right, let's hear it. Our Gibson axle back exhaust is installed, fit and finish is spot on. It looks great. I'm loving the dual tips. It sounds pretty good too, but it's not too loud. Installation was super easy. It's only going to take about 30 to 45 minutes and before you know it, you'll be heading off-road.
