The Retro Mustang 15" steering wheel is styled after the early Mustang GT steering wheel. Each of the 3-spokes has four pristine chamfered lightening holes. Exclusive unique laser cut horn accents complete the original look. Much thought was put into the size of the Retro Mustang steering wheel to provide more comfort than the competition. The circumference of this wheel is made from elegant genuine wood. Retro wheels have a 3-1/2" dish making it easy to view gauges and control your Mustang. 304 stainless steel construction features a brushed finish. Polished edges and chamfered holes accent the vibrant brushed finish.
This steering wheel features the original classic shape with finger grips and 18 real rivets just like the original Mustang GT wheel. The wood is then stained by hand with a protective urethane clear coat. Each wheel is evenly cut and shaped to ensure a smooth comfortable grip every time. Wood is book matched on the front and back. Unlike wood steering wheels from other brands, the wood grip doesn't require periodic treatment to prevent discoloring and dry-out.
A 3-bolt installation hub is used to mount the steering wheel. The polished CNC machined 6061 T6 billet aluminum hub is assembled and ready to be installed right out of the box. It includes an adjustable billet collar so you can dial-in the perfect gap from the back of the hub to the column. Set screws hold the collar at the recommended 1/8" clearance. Grade 8 hardware is included as well as installation instructions.
Finishing off the steering wheel is your choice of horn button. Horn buttons are machined from 6061 billet aluminum then polished for a bright finish. A unique o-ring setup secures the horn button and all necessary hardware is included. Various horn button styles are available. Standard horn buttons and hi-rise horn buttons are offered. They all have a 3" diameter and 1-1/2" height. Choose between engraved logos, black centers with/without a logo or a plain polished center.
Please Note: The included steering wheel adapter will work on steering columns that have a locking function, however it will NOT retain the locking function.
