The key in my '65 convertible is stuck in "ON" position. What the best way to replace the switch and cylinder with new parts from your website? Thanks for your answer, the replacement parts, and your videos.

Asked by: misaros
If you cant get the ignition to turn off and to accessory it can be quite difficult to remove the tumbler. There really isn't any easy or sure way to remove it except for drilling and cutting it out.

how do take out the key switch on 1965 mustang

Asked by: tyrap
To remove, first disconnect the battery than turn ignition to accessory than using something like an unfolded paperclip stick it in the small hole in the tumbler and turn the key to the left past accessory and the tumbler should pull out. After the tumbler is removed reach under the dash than push the ignition switch toward the dash and turn the switch to the passenger side and it will release from the bezel.
