Tools Required:
- Ratchet
- 1/2-inch Socket
- #13 Socket
- Pliers
- Spray Lubricant
- Jack & Jack Stands
Install Difficulty:
- Moderate Project
1. To start the installation of your new Mustang Borla 11837 S-Type Stinger Axle Back Exhaust, make sure car has not been running for at least an hour and check to make sure the stock exhaust is not too hot, so you can begin. Also, make sure you are on level ground.

2. Place wheel chocks snug against the tires in front of the front Mustang wheels.

3. Jack up the car on each side in the correct jack position, as noted in the picture.

4. If using spray lubricant, spray the Mustang exhaust hangers and rubber isolators and allow time for the lubricant to penetrate.
5. Using your ratchet and 1/2-inch or #13 socket, loosen the bolt at the clamp position as noted in the picture.

6. Remove the stock Mustang axle back exhaust from your car. Using pliers will allow you to get more leverage on the rubber isolators, but it is possible to remove the exhaust without using them.
7. Repeat steps 5-7 on the opposite side exhaust.
8. Once both stock exhausts have been removed, remove the clamps on each exhaust that are attached by using either a set of pliers or using your hand to bend the clamp back and forth until it detaches. You will reuse these clamps on the Borla exhaust.
9. Begin on either side by inserting the flared end into the ball clamp.
10. Now insert the hangers into the rubber isolators.

11. Make sure clearance height is OK, and also that everything is lined up.

12. Once the position of the Mustang exhaust is determined to be correct, tighten down the clamp.
13. Repeat these steps for the other side.
14. Jack up the car slightly higher than what the jack stands are set at and remove the jack stands, then slowly lower the car to the ground using the jack.
15. Start your Mustang and enjoy the growl from your new Mustang Borla S-Type Stinger Axle Back Exhaust!
