Tools Required:

- Butt Connectors
Install Difficulty:
- Easy Project
1. The first step to installing your Mustang Custom Autosound 3001DVC Dash Speaker is to remove the dash grill. Remove the two Philips head screws and pull it up and out.

2. If you have a speaker currently installed, unplug any wires and remove any hardware attaching the speaker. You may need to remove your defroster ducts in order to do this.
3. Now open your box and take inventory. With the Custom Autosound speaker you should have two sets of speaker wire and a bag of hardware.
4. Plug the wires into the Mustang speaker. They are different sizes so they will only go in one way.

5. The radio ends of the speaker wires have bullet connectors on them. Since my Mustang radio does not have similar connectors, I had to cut them off and use butt connectors instead.

6. Place the speaker through the hole in the Mustang dash pad. It doesn’t matter which direction you put it in, so long as you keep track of which wire goes to which side. Reattach the grill. You can use the provided hardware to secure the speaker in place, but the grill fits very tightly so the hardware isn’t really needed.
7. Attach the speaker wires to the radio harness. I unplugged the harness from the radio for easier access. The black wire goes to negative, red to positive.

8. You’re done! Enjoy your new Mustang Custom Autosound Dash Speaker!
