Mustang Prothane End Link Kit (1965-1966) Installation Instructions
This End Link Kit from Prothane will fit 1965-1966 Mustangs.
If your 1965-1966 Mustang is handling poorly and just generally a bear to drive, it might be time for some suspension upgrades. One of the most beneficial upgrades is the Prothane End Link Kit! The End Link Kit from Prothane will stiffen the front sway bar, which will help reduce body roll from deflection.
Tools Required:
- 3/4, 5/8, 9/16-inch Wrenches
- Hammer
- Pitman Puller
- Screw Drivers (various)
- Pliers
- Grease
- Jack
Install Difficulty:
- Moderate Project
1. To start the installation of your new Mustang Prothane End Link Kit, jack up the car and place jack stands under the frame. Remove the front wheels for more visibility.
2. Remove the screw under the Mustang lower control arm with 9/16 inch socket; note the install position for the bushings and washers before it is removed from the car.
3. Remove the washers and bushings.
4. Install in the same position the new Prothane end link component:

5.Bushing

7.Spacer
8.Washer
9.Bushing
10.Lower control arm
11.Bushing
12.Washer
13.Screw
Position of the parts (up to down):
1.Nut
2.Washer
3.Bushing
4.Sway bar

6.Washer
7.Spacer

9.Bushing
10.Lower control arm
11.Bushing
12.Washer
13.Screw
5. Repeat the same steps for the Mustang end link on the other side.
6. Put the wheel back on. Lower the car and take the car to get an alignment before ride anywhere else. Enjoy your new Mustang Prothane End Link Kit.
