Mustang Ron Morris Stock Height Adjustable Motor Mounts (1965-1970) Installation Instructions
1965-1970 Mustang Ron Morris Stock Height Adjustable Motor Mounts
These Stock Height Adjustable Motor Mounts from Ron Morris will fit 1965-1970 Mustangs.
Poor motor mounts can zap the power from your Mustang, as the vibration of the engine absorbs a small percentage of your power. In addition, at the age of your classic Mustang, the old motor mounts may be in horrible condition. Either way, the Ron Morris Stock Height Adjustable Motor Mount Kit will give you back some lost power, absorbed by the old mounts, and be much safer than the old, decaying parts. Order yours today.

1. Start the installation of your new Mustang Ron Morris 6110 Stock Height Adjustable Motor Mount Kit by jacking the car up to a height that allows you to be comfortable underneath the car and place the jack stands appropriately.
2. Remove the bolts that hold the Mustang engine to the mount on the driver side.

3. Place the jack under the Mustang oil pan with a short 2x4 on the saddle to keep from damaging the pan and lift until you start feeling the weight of the engine.
4. Remove the cross bolt going through the mount. Note: You may need to remove the engine cross member to get a wrench on the backside of this bolt.

5. Remove the short bolt on the side of the mount (green arrow) then remove the 2 bolts connecting the mount to the shock tower.

6. This is the configuration of the adjustable Mustang motor mounts for the driver side. The angled end of the long plate will go towards the rear of the car. The slider assembly should be loosely assembled until you can verify the location on the engine plate slot.

7. Bolt the above assembly from the Ron Morris kit to the motor just until it seats flat on the engine block Do not tighten down yet, as it will need to be removed to torque down the slider assembly.

8. Place the frame plates on the Mustang shock tower and put the two 3/8-inch bolts through the plates and shock tower, run a nut down finger tight to hold the plates in place against the shock tower

9. Lift the engine using the jack until you can slide the 1/2-inch bolt through the Mustang frame plates and slider. Once this has been done, you can mark the spot where the slider assembly is on the engine plate.

10. Now remove the 1/2-inch through bolt and the engine plate/slider assembly. Clamp the engine plate in a vise and torque the slider assembly bolts to 35-40 ft/lbs. at the location you marked.
11. Place the engine plate/slider assembly back on the motor and torque to 50-55 ft/lbs.
12. Torque the frame plate bolts going through the shock tower to 30-35 ft/lbs.
13. Place the 1/2-inch bolt back through the frame plates and slider assembly bushing and torque to 50 ft/lbs.

14. Repeat these steps for the passenger side Remember the angled end is toward the back of the vehicle. This completes the installation of your new Mustang Ron Morris Stock Height Adjustable Motor Mount Kit.
