2. Draw a vertical line with the marker at the point in which the Mustang exhaust pipe straightens out (tangent to the curve).

3. Repeat the previous step on the opposite side.

4. Place the jack under the muffler about to be cut. This will aid in keeping it from falling.

5. Use the sawzall to make the cut.

6. Pull the muffler towards the front of the vehicle to release from the exhaust hanger.
7. Take the file and clean up the edges of the cut pipe.
8. Install the Roush muffler on the exhaust hanger.

10. OPTIONAL: To aid in proper alignment of the Mustang exhaust tip, loosen the exhaust hangers located on the IRS sub-frame.

11. Align the exhaust tip from your Mustang axle back exhaust in the rear valence opening.

12. Tighten the clamp with a 15mm socket and ratchet or low impact torque wrench.

13. Repeat the process for the opposite side muffler. Remember to tighten the IRS sub-frame Mustang exhaust hangers if loosened for aid in alignment.

14. Lower the vehicle and slide the exhaust tips onto the mufflers with the clamp. Tighten down when proper position is achieved.
