Install Difficulty:
- Easy Project
1. To start the installation of your new Mustang Scott Drake LED Gauge Light Kit, remove the headlight/fog light switch on the left side of the instrument bezel and the hazard/rear defrost switch on the right side of the instrument bezel. There are two small tabs inside of the bezel that need to be depressed while pulling the switch out. Use a small screw driver to depress the tabs.

2. Use the screw driver to pull the plugs off of the switches.

3. Use the Torx screw driver to remove the screws that hold the under dash trim.

4. Use the Phillips head screw driver to remove the screws that hold the Mustang steering column cover extension.

5. Use the Phillips head screw driver to remove the long screws that are holding the Mustang steering column cover, which is located between the steering wheel and dash.

6. Pull the left side of the small plastic filler piece to unclip it and then pull it off of the steering column.

7. Remove the Torx screws that hold the instrument bezel on the dash. Don’t forget the one that holds the metal brace for the bezel.

8. Use a small ratchet with Phillips head screw driver attachment to remove the two screws which hold the instrument bezel near the windshield. Then pull the bezel off of the dash.

9. Remove the Torx screws that hold the instrument cluster to the dash.

10. Pull the instrument cluster from the Mustang instrument panel area just enough to reach behind it. Unplug the two wire plugs that are in the back of the cluster (one on each side). Also push on the white tab on the speedometer cable and remove the cable.

11. Remove the cluster and locate the bulbs on the backside of the cluster that match up to the background bulbs (look at instructions sheet included with part). Remove the bulbs by twisting them counter clockwise.

12. Remove the factory bulb by pulling straight out and push in the new Scott Drake LED bulb.

13. After changing all of the bulbs in the kit, put the instrument cluster back in place and plug the wire plugs in. Also plug the headlight switch back in. Turn the Mustang headlights on and check to make sure that the bulbs light. If any of them do not light, pull them out of the cluster, rotate 180 degrees, and put them back in.
14. Plug the Mustang speedometer cable back in and listen for the “click”.
15. Reinstall the Torx screws that hold the cluster to the dash.

16. Slide the instrument bezel back over the cluster and feed the wire plugs for the headlight and hazard light switches through the openings. Plug the wire plugs back into the switches.
17. Reinstall the screws and Torx screws which hold the bezel to the dash.
18. Reinstall the steering column plastics and the lower dash plastic.

19. Installation is complete and you can now enjoy your new Mustang Scott Drake LED Gauge Light Kit.
